erkkiqaz 4 Posted January 30, 2014 at the moment compasses are rare to find. there needs to be a way of improvising one. like needle in a sawed in half water bottle or a pond or river or something.
IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted January 30, 2014 You'd need a magnet wouldn't you? Compasses seam 'common' enough. I rarely use them to be honest (then again I know most of the map and have my ways to travel)

fox0rz 56 Posted January 30, 2014 There are other options to find compasses as well, like the free compass advertized at the bottom of the cereal box, and some survivel knives actually have one stuck to the bottom or in the grip with a screw off top. that would multiply the amount of compasses without complicated crafting!
erkkiqaz 4 Posted January 30, 2014 true. but if you are wandering inland and are planning to keep going northwest its easy to lose sense of direction when you get food from cities on the way. to make cimpass materials common, junk piles such as those found by streets ane junkyards should be lootable and contain crap like magnets needles empty milk cartins and stuff
erkkiqaz 4 Posted January 30, 2014 also sorry for the late reply and typos. im on the mobile and i cant find a way to edit posts

erkkiqaz 4 Posted January 30, 2014 I could make one in 5 mins in real life and see how reliable it is outside compared to a real compass. Maybe later

Fry76 23 Posted January 31, 2014 Btw did you know that you can take direction from stars, i have done that in real life and was suprised that there is real stars in sky compared to real world. I also counted from them that cherno area is somewhere between 55 and 58 latitude. Think about that.
