Warsaw Pact Weapon Attachments

Recommended Posts

So I thought to myself, currently the M4 is the only current "most customizable weapon" in the game at the moment, so I thought what kind of attachments could we add to these Warsaw pact weapons of the former soviet union?

Well I got to thinking and these are some I could suggest:

* Stocks

  • Pistol Grip w/ Folding Stock (Link) - A polymer pistol grip with a folding stock, reduces space, weight and draw speed and aim speed but at the cost of more felt recoil and less stability at long range.
  • Pistol Grip w/ Dragunov Stock (Link) - A polymer pistol grip with a fixed stock designed in similarily to the SVD Fixed stock. Grants bonus accuracy over range with less recoil and greater stability at the cost of a slower aim speed in close quarters.

* Sights

  • PU Scope
  • PSO-1 Scope - A soviet era x4 optical sight.

* Other

  • Flash Suppressor

Why not a few different flavors of SKS, instead of only the 59/66? I want to see "standard" ones. Also, midwest ordinance perfected converting the SKS to take standard AK mags.

Old Willy Clinton then forced them to show the chinese who pumped them out ad nauseum.

Wouldn't really be feasible to add an underfolder stock to a regular stock AK, as the underfolder requires a new receiver with holes drilled for the purpose. Either way, I'd like one of the carbines.

And speaking from experience the NSPU is one dirty heavy beast, sod picking up one of those bricks...

I'd like to see some adapters so we could use the western sights on the AK/SKS/SVD styled rifles, and vice versa, so they all have a little more versatility than being limited to a few, or in the case of the western sights, one gun.

(Obviously more western weapons will eventually appear, but that's beyond the point)

Oh my good fuck not the stocks that fix the horrible shit accuracy, please no. Just let me have one fixed stock that doesn't completely ruin the gun.

Mounting a scope to several of these rifles requires riveting a plate/rail to the side of the receiver. Maybe there could be old machine shops which would be required? Then you could cut off the tang and drill holes for an underfolding stock so you could attach a design meant for the 9x19 round instead on a rifle resulting in a painful to use stock with terrible cheek weld instead of a proper side folding stock. On a side note, and this time no snarkiness, you ever see one of those custom rpks with the barrel cut down and the sights reattached and the furniture swapped out? It looks like an AKM except it has thicker rpk receiver and a thicker barrel. Pretty cool stuff. Also, what about welding tangs to make the Aks-74 into an ak-74? I like the idea of moddable warsaw guns, but they require more tools, so I'd like to see those too.

The 30 round detachable AKM magazine for the SKS is only compatible with the SKS-M, which they should totally add

This is untrue. It is also compatible

with the SKS-D, and these were the ones I mentioned earlier as

being produced by the chinese. However, midwest ordinance examples still exist (the folks who were forced to show the chinese) as well as other modified pieces, some of which are also well done.

You can't mount Underfolding stocks on guns other than the AKS or AKMS without modification, same with the Side folding for non-AKS-74/AK-74M/AK-100. It can be done, but it's not just E-Z stock replacement like with the M4.

PSO-1 in development Along with Mosin clips.
