So yeah, i don't want to cry - but i need to get rid of my emotions. I have been walking the last three days through cherna and i have lost four fully equipped Characters, i were everywhere. Elektro, Cherno, both military bases, NWAF. I survived everything. But then, i went back to Elektro and a dickhead oneshotted me with his mosin from like 800m. I wasn't even able to hear his shot, i was dead before i noticed the sound. I think its very unfair if fresh players get such a strong gun and kill somone who has survived the last two days with one shot, and his M4 needs like 3 magazines more. Same happened in Krasnostav AF (Climbing the ATC tower down)

 

I tried to kill somone today, i did short burst with my M4 (Distance to target - 300m). And i have hit everything surroundin him, and 40 shots went near him, even i was aiming directly at his corpus. Is this intended?

 

I know its a Alpha, i don't want to complain, just share what happened to me and maybe somone from the dev team will pick this issue up.

If you get sniped from 800m, you are at fault. I've died dozen of times, but never to a sniper, because if you actually think about your surroundings they won't see you.

Guns should be one shot kill. We dont have armor/Vests yet. Everything should be 1 shot kill for head shots.   

 

Pistols only have a small range and M4s are a little better. So I think everything is well balanced for now Please DONT NERF ANYTHING! lol  I want some bullet proof vests and full armor if possible soon.

How do you know the guy who shot you was a fresh spawn? He could have played the same character for weeks for all you know. And why does it even matter if it was a fresh spawn? Having stayed alive for a couple of days do not in any way earn you more rights than fresh spawn. It may earn you some gear which will give you the advantage over them, but if not, well too bad.

 

You were obviously running somewhere out in the open and hadn't checked the spot properly. He got the advantage over you and you died. Guns do actually kill in one shot, so you just have to be more careful (although even all the care in the world is sometimes not enough) if you want to avoid such incidents in the future.

I don't mean to be rude, but complaining about being sniped is pretty ridiculous. In my experience, people tend to get really comfortable when they're searching for loot, bouncing from building to building with seemingly not a care in the world. You really need to pay attention. I can't stress that enough. One good way to play this game is with the mindset of, "would I do that if this was me?" Once I started thinking with this philosophy and applying it to my game, I began surviving a lot longer, with a lot more frags* under my belt before I died.

 

* Just to be clear, I don't kill on sight. I have held several people up. I only kill the ones that I spot sitting in prime sniping locations who are obviously waiting for passersby.

What I don't think a lot of people realize when they get their gear is that they also need to protect it... The last 3 times I have gotten fully geared was because I killed people who were being reckless when I had significantly less gear than they did..

 

If you WANT to keep your gear you can A) get in a group, people who are by themselves are less likely to attack a group of 4 because their odds of survival are significantly less, B) travel very slowly keeping complete awareness of your surroundings and try to stay in or near cover when you are traveling, C) Don't travel across an open field anywhere near the coast or military bases unless you are in a full sprint.

 

Just doing these 3 simple things will really help with your odds of survival, how ever dying is part of the fun of the game and don't get attached to your gear

It is very hard to kill someone at 800m with a Mosin when they are sprinting (even in an open field it is hard) especially after you recently stopped sprinting and are breathing heavily,

It's total crap when you can hit a damn thing. Just this last weekend I was out with my 556 rifle banging steal out at 600 yards and I have no formal or military training...

 

But I know for a fact you can even live a .50cal round to the body. Happend many times in WWII during dog fights. Sometimes the rounds were even bigger. Just look it up. Guys getting hit by 20mm rounds and making it back to the airfield alive in the bombers.

 

But for games sake and the fact theres no trauma centers around any gun shot to the face other than too a kevlar helemt should kill you. As for body shots since there is no organ system should be 1-5.

 

Ive shot coyotes with a .308 and watched them run off into the sunset. To compair that to a human that would be like getting hit with artilery...

I feel your pain bruh. The LEAST that these killers can do is announce that they are about to shoot me, or at least give me a 10 sec. start to flee the area.

 

Maybe I could keep this site up while I play and can spam my name every 5 seconds in-game so when they see my name they can also go back to this site and send me a private message that tells me they are about to shoot me.

 

Come to think of it, I'm pissed off too. I'm still waiting for my SA trophy I'm entitled to for buying this game. Actually, I am owed about 20 trophies for buying the game, installing it, picking my character, waving, learning to use the flashlight, nights, making it to Balota, helping others, getting stuck in a doorway, dying from a rock, eating tuna, fighting a fresh spawn, climbing a ladder, falling unconscious from hunger, eating a rotten banana, running away from being handcuffed, answering my phone while playing and dying as a result of it, sharing my experiences, looting dead Bandits, and killing a man who was following me.

 

Actually, i'm owed about 100 trophies...
