How To Use M4A1 Knife ?

Hello guys, I've been looting Airfield, then i found m4a1, and later i found a M4A1 Knife, Knife is connected with Rifle, but when i left-click it shoots, So; How i'm gonna use knife ?

And can that knife kill zombies at 1 time ? or 2?

Also, at airfield i found a lot of "Vest" But i dont get it which one is strongest. So i'm using Tactical Vest right now. But i dont know which is good.

You can still use the M4 bayonet as melee weapon. It's only "decent" because it slows you down. Any axe or crowbar (weapon that does not slow you down) is better. Stick it in front of your rifle or throw it away until they can be used properly.

You can take it off and use it as a can opener or if you run out of bullets, take the knife into your hands and start punching.. you'll "cut" who or whatever you are hitting.

 

As for the vests, I have not found one to be advantageous over another. More of a cosmetic preference. I have heard people say the tactical vest will stop 1 bullet.. or is a stab vest.. but I don't know if those people are citing experience, rumor, or actual documentation from the devs

All thous mags are for the M4 or any future weapon that can take thouse clips.  Mosin has an internal box mag, the revolver has optional speed loaders, and the .45 has only one type of clip.

The bayonet is currently only available as a can opener. You can only open cans of food with it currently. Hopefully it becomes a weapon at one point.

The Mosin bayonet (M91) in real life is nothing more than a sharp square tip, like a screw driver.  Its "blade" (you can't really call it that, tho) is cruciform with 4 unsharpened edges.  It was designed for stabbing only.  The wikis don't really note this, but if you slice with a real M91 bayonet, it would be akin to hitting someone with a metal screw or spike.  Better than nothing, I suppose.

 
Opening a can of beans with an M91 would entail needing a heavy object or rock to hammer it in, or I suppose placing the bayonet upside down on the ground (solid, hard) and striking down with the can on the bayonet.  

 

How does this play into game mechanics?  I dunno, but an M91, in real life, is no knife.  Just a long, heavy screwdriver.

the vests are personal preference(comes down to looks and storage capacity)for now at least the stab vest will not stop a 5.56 neither will the press not yet any way. mine weren't pristine either though. i don't think a lot of the epuipment is functioning at full capacity, though the ballistic helmet and the motocycle helmet do though i'll test it and let you know.

The same thing is true of the SKS bayonet. It might be called a "blade" but it's not sharp, they don't even have an edge (obvious reasons why).

The M9 bayonet (subject of this thread) is not much better. It comes notoriously dull and even after extensive sharpening it makes a shitty knife.

Well I own an M9 (It's attached to my Mossberg for home-defense reasons), and it came pretty damn sharp.  It was made by Ontario, so maybe different manufacturers do it a little differently or something?  You can't really shave with it, but I was semi-shaving hairs off my arms (not like a close shave or anything).  It's a nice bayonet.  Not as nice as the OKC-3S bayonet (for the Marines), but the M9 bayonet is a valuable tool.

ive seen people hiding using an m4 bayonet and it gave away their position. really good non-functional item that is bright and stands out when hiding in the bushes. id throw it away. the mosin bayonet is almost as bad.
