Someone can tell me why is that funny?

What really makes me laugh about this whole "dayz" scenario is that every one of you ridiculous purists want realism (guns, recoil, bullet drop, more rifles, more handguns) yet, stand back in utter horror when you have a player who opportunistically kills you for your belongings. Its simply staggering. And all you guys wave this banner across the Dayz map how if there was a complete break down of economics, police state, religious state and everything we knew of civilization except weapons, food and clothing, we would all band together and sit in a circle and sing campfire songs. And killing you for your supplies isn't "lazy"- quite the opposite. I usually track geared players. I prefer the m4 so I usually get up pretty close to them and when the opportunity is right, I strike. Try that game play on a regular server. I assure you, it isn't easy. Its a hell of a lot more involved than opening a door and hoping there's something of value inside. I know this point will fall on deaf ears because I stated in a while ago and all the whiner babies ignored it, but whats an M4 designed for? An AKM? Whats it purpose right now in the world? Here's a clue: SHOOT PEOPLE. And I've been shot in the back enough times not to trust people. And since the goal of the game is survival, I do just that, even tho it might require putting a hole in your head to do so. Do I KOS? Not that it matters, but I do not. If I see a threat, I kill. If I see supplies, I kill. If I dont trust someone, I kill. This absurd comment "brainwashed by COD" is just plain dumb. Dayz is about surivival, not running up to geared players and handing out beans to bambis. You wanna play the game that way, UP TO YOU. Just STFU and let me play it the way I want to play. One more thing (although I know you wont get it)- think of Dayz without PVP. Just think of it as PVZ. I bet 70% of the players wouldn't play anymore. It would be boring, stale- unless the zombies went to World War Z speed, but I dont see that happening. So put on your big boy pants and deal with PVP. Baby tears in a forum isn't going to do anything.

But you have food I need. You have ammo I need. You have a courier bag I need. Plus, you might shoot me for my stuff. Killing you eliminates so many variables and since it wasn't named Spoonin N Dayz, players can do what they want, and that includes using rifles for the intended purpose. And since shooting zombies attracts hordes and hordes of them, I can only rationalize using an M4 is to kill other players. M4 is game. Meant for killing people. Discussion closed.

Just further lesson you need to learn when someone points a weapon at you while you are unarmed: 1.) run like hell 2.) better to die trying to escape than being hogtied and tortured I never stop and talk to random, armed players. Why would I?

Find a flaw in my logic, because this seems too simple.

I like how you completely avoided my 2 questions, but just sit down puffing out of your butt "server hoppers do ruin everything." LOL. Nice argument, bra. Maybe one day I'll meet you as you're looting a low pop server. Or better yet, when I exit and re-spawn right outside the jail at NEAF. KAAAPOOWWW! Who's got an M4 now, booty bandit? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no. Server hoppers ruin everything thread. So Q for you- when you need a weapon/ammo/loot, do you jump on a 40 man server? Jumping on a 40 man server probably means you KOS or are one of those annoying bambis who punch people out for loot. (Lets go start another KOS thread and how KOS is so terrible baaaaad, mmkay?) Or do you pick a low pop server? (explain to me how thats different that server hopping).

Don't want to give in to the dark side...

So it sounds like you are either running at top speed away from people, or hiding in every housing nook, or both. This style of gameplay will get very boring one day for you. I've been there, done that. You haven't experienced dying a lot in this game, you can't come to turns with the next style of game play that hits you. You're still hiding/being super paranoid, which honestly, is ok- it just bores me to tears. Most players will get bored with this. Once your normal players starts joining in with people, the stupid term being a "hero"- he will die a lot. A LOT. Why? Because most players KOS and if they dont have a gun, they will punch you on sight. So you've spent 2 hours gearing up, fully weaponed out, all to hand out cans of beans in a highly dense population area (thinking you are doing your good deed of the day), and then c-c-c-crack youre dead. This will happen 99% of the time. So you're either a fool, or you love to farm for loot, or both. So to the OP- I get it. You either try to do "good" or you trusted someone, all to die. It gets annoying. For me when I see a player, or when they see me, it usually ends in a gun battle. I dont run at them yelling friendly, or wave at them, or any other stupid thing I can do, I usually prepare because it always leads to a gun battle. I've been KOS'ed, punched out by a bambi, didnt shoot at someone who cried they were friendly and then shot me when I wasn't looking, etc etc, blah blah, the pity stories go on and on. I may not KOS everyone, but if I feel they are a threat, I shoot first and ask questions later. This isn't cowardly or chickenshit- its what I do to survive. I probably also farm less than most players because I don't run around with a IM A HERO banner on my chest giving out cans of beans to bandits who just died along the coast. The whole pt of my post is just to say play this game any way you want. Its up to you. Nobody else. If it feels right, do it.

    Is this game getting worse?

I have experienced this in the past, several times, but it was usually rickety crap ass buildings I fell out of. I didnt expect this to be at a NEAF jail- one of the heaviest trafficked parts of the map 4 months after launch.

Yea, killed about one of those "lemme help the spawns with bean" types. Pphhpptthh.

    Is this game getting worse?

Last night, I ran for 30 minutes to get to the NEAF. Looted it, fell through a window in the upstairs jail and broke both legs. I was geared. This morning, back into the door that doesn't open in the bottom of the jail shooting a zombie at the NEAF and went friggin inside the building and cant escape it. Zombies run to me but cant kill me. I cant escape the room- logging in/out does nothing, running at the door hitting V does nothing... I'm at a total loss. This game is fun, but you would think progress in game developement would move forward, not backward. And for all you brainless fanboys who are going to say ALPHa, just F off. F.The.F.OFF.

Its only a matter of time, my friend.
  15. DirtyscumbagLith

    So is this normal?

when you log out, wait in the bushes for 30 or so seconds. i cant tell you the countless times i was about to log out and waited 10 seconds, only to hear one of those binocular-vision zombies running at me. had i logged out before he got to me, it would have killed me. it sounds like this is what happened. character wipes aren't very common. i've only had it happen once to me.
