**Civilian private vehicles:**

A wet dream for local hoodlums from Prigorodki or Cherno outskirts. Gopniki in all post-soviet area simply adore this car. Pure ‘class’. Don't forget to put your sport pants, leather shoes and thick leather jacket on. Get a knife, bat or at least a screwdriver, hop in with your pal and circle around your city district to find someone who simply doesn’t belong. Now, behold a diamond in a crown of Soviet car production, the fabulous Ukrainian Zaporozhec', produced in Zaporizhzhya. There are 2 models,

The former is called 'Горбатий' or 'Brokeback/Humpbacked'. The latter is just 'Zapor' or 'Constipation'. Yes, we love these cars. What a beauty. Every Chernorussian grandpa should drive this as it was generously provided by the beloved government due to his disabilities after war in Takistan 20 years ago.

Moskvitch Москвич-408/412/Москвич-Комби. An alternative to ЗАЗ that grandpa uses to transport potatoes from his 'dacha' (decrepit private house with a garden, lets say in Olsha) to Elektrozavodsk marketplace. http://imgur.com/a/3OYEM

 

 

Moskvitch 2141, newer, but actually mostly used for the same purposes: http://imgur.com/a/apHCn Bacause you can't escape the reputation, even after the hull upgrade and redesign... go on, load potatoes and beetroots into the trunk.

All 3 of GAZ Volga models were hard to get and object of much envy. Most of them nowadays are just regular junk.

VAZ-2121 "Niva" ("Нива", or "Cropfield") a beloved civilian off-roader. It still is very popular now, but was really hard to obtain 20 years ago: http://imgur.com/a/LbMMM A mandatory car for Chernarus.

 

**Buses** in Chernorus should be represented by:

 

 

Laz-695 http://imgur.com/a/KWh8M The most popular and wide spread soviet bus.

PAZ-672 http://imgur.com/a/NrLaG this thing (most of them were painted yellow) could be spotted everywhere. As well as this one, PAZ-3205 http://imgur.com/a/XRkZA both were typical means of commute within the city limits.

Ikarus-280 http://imgur.com/a/QWeXW that's the bus that is in DayZ mod, this actually was higher-class type bus.

**Сivillian trucks** typical Chernorussian models:

GAZ-53 http://imgur.com/a/etzJH a lighter one, but used just as widely. *make sure you notice a milk cistern, bread truck, fish and sewage-sanitation vehicles based on this vehicle. This truck is as soviet as soviet can be. Bringing fresh and hot bread to the bread store early in the morning. Collecting milk in kolkhoz at dawn. They sold fish from their water tanks at the marketplace. And spraying water at dawn upon desolate summer city streets to remove the dust...

**Military trucks:**

 

Regarding military trucks. I don't want to stress here, but these mentioned below are absolutely essential. Many of them got into civilian hands and after some modifications serve as lumber transports, buses in highlands, etc.

GAZ-66 http://imgur.com/a/g3TbB Excellent, superb off-road capabilities. If there was a military unit around this thing was there. Most of them were somewhat modified and are widely used today in mountainous areas by local population.

Excellent list. But i would like to see some sort of pickup truck. Especially legendary Toyota Hilux and being able to have people in the truck bed (in loading area of a truck).

For now, this is the list of soviet-made vehicles. Few other (Hilux, Land Rover, etc) would fit well too.

 

BTW, this: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/165028-dayz-vehicles-complete-list/ should be getting some attention either, as that type of art and murals fits Chernorus/overall environment.

you hit zombie on the road with this? no problem / no dmg to car, ofc there should be higher fuel consumption and not much off-road possibilities, as well the upgrade should be pretty hard to achieve

Not to mention if you put so much heavy iron on a vehicle, it will become significantly slower :) (assuming it will be iron/steel, to prevent bullets from getting into the vehicle)

Unless it has a beast of an engine. but lets face it, this is Chernarus hehe and most of theese vehicles would not really be able to handle a couple hundred pounds of metal on top of them.

But good list, would like to see at least a handful of theese in the game, at a later stage :)

True not a giant truck like that, but try to put a couple of tons of sheet metal on a VAS, or any of the other small soviet vehicles, and see what happens to it hehe.

Customization... Definatly
Maybe not a fully-armored Sedan, but one of the 6X6 could handle some armor. also, you could lighten it by tearing out seats, spare tires, ect.

 

I would also like to see how much gear is inside effecting performance.

so having 200 items in a Ural would make the back seats unusable, and slow it down considerably.
