Energy and melee

Had a search on the forum but I don't think any of the topics I found where direct enough on this subject. Also don't know if its already in game.

 

Quite simple, Energy effects melee damage output. seems reasonable to me and a benefit of being healthy.

Thanks for doing a search first.

This seems like a good idea, they can do a lot with the current energy systems.

swings could take energy, misses could cost more than hits (like they do in real life)

carrying your weapon in hand could leach more energy.

I like it, but what if we had a "Stamina" stat instead? Like if you run around a lot or melee a lot you burn through it and also reduce energy? (Kinda like l4d2 where if you melee a lot you have to wait a few seconds.)
