Seems like you have a good set of policies going!

My operating basis is kinda similar.

1. If I am unarmed, I'm everyone's friend. If I see an unarmed person, I'll let them go about their way, and team up if they like. If I see an armed person (and they see me) I will tell them that I'm unarmed and shower them with praise and flattery. "My, you're looking quite handsome today sir!"

2. If I'm armed, and I run into an unarmed person, I will let them be. If they're coming to loot an area that I'm looting though, I will advise them to stop and vacate the premises for their own safety. (If I notice they find a good piece of loot I'm liable to murder them.)

3. If I'm armed, and I see another armed person, my actions depend on if they see me or not. If they see me and come anywhere near me or aim towards me in any way, I'm shooting them without hesitation. If they don't see me, I'll stalk them and try to find their base/tent and then murder them. Especially if they look like they have good loot.

So there's my "bandit code"

2) for supplies

3) you got too close to me

What's the point of having rules when you're a bandit? You're supposed to be a rulebreaker.

We are breaking the rules by having rules.

Bandit-ception.

1. Do not lie and deceive. I despise bandits who claim their targets by lies and treachery.

2. Kill everyone outside of the team. Even if he/she has no gear. My turf, my loot, and my trust. I do not let others to shot me in the back anymore and I’m not intended to share with outsiders.

3. Play fair! Do not DC out of combat even if I have really good gear. Even if I fight with zeds. To say the truth sometimes it's tempting to DC from zeds while you managed to stay alive for a 7 days... But oh well, I try to keep myself true so I die.

4. Help your teammates so they can help you. Sometimes it's boring to walk across half of the map just to help some newly spawned teammate to make his way to the main camp. But sometimes it's rewarding when you realize that afterwards your camp is stocked with GPS and NVGs from recent raid and you can take your share even if you was absent on that raid.

5. Do not get attached to the gear. You are bandit and you can die often. Your camp might be raided by rivals; your cars might get stolen... Or some bug/cheater might spoil everything. Sh*t happens.

6. Shoot till it stops breathing. Make control shots to the head every time. You don't want your target to crawl away and bandage him/herself. Do not let things to the chance. Better waste some ammo than life and all your gear.

Some of my rules.

I am a sniper, or long-ranged engager.

1. I have to be at an extremely safe distance and concealed. Always be prone.

2. Always have a backup.

3. Trust no one.

4. Earn someones trust, give them things, and when they least expect it, like when they are scavenging or hunting. Follow in rule 1 and kill them. Something I enjoy doing when I have to be up close is: whilst killing zeds, once you kill the last one, I say "Haha, that zed has breathed it's last, but sadly...so have you." then follow through to a clean shot to the head. It's extremely satisfying.

5. For a long ranged operative like myself. Buildings are your enemy, always try to find a vantage point other than a building to hide out it

6. A little thing I enjoy doing is giving someone something really good. Then say "Oh, I need that" then kill them while they try to pick it up.

Im so evil.

The only time I don't kill is if I'm in a disadvantaged position were I to open fire. If it's even or I have the advantage, I'm taking that kill shot.

My general "kill or let live" rules are:

1.) If someone shoots at me, I'm shooting back. Even if that person runs away and tries to escape the firefight, I'm hunting him down and killing him.

2.) I don't shoot unarmed persons if they go their way or communicate and show good intentions. If someone unarmed follows me without saying a word, chances are he might hide a weapon in his backpack or a hatchet in his toolbelt to wipe out any second. Too much of a threat to be alive.

3.) If I see other players shooting new players without gear, I'm coming for them.

4.) Whether I shoot players upon sight depends on where I am and what I have. During a city raid with few items I usually try to team up with someone. However, when I raid an airfield or towns like Stary, I will shoot anyone upon sight.

5.) If I find a target that isn't likely to notice me anytime soon, I'm stalking him and then decide whether to kill him or not, depending on his gear, his destination and his playstyle.

Generally I'm not a bandit that kills players for the sake of it. My main goal is survival and getting gear, not killcount.
