  1. "Hey man, I'm a bandit and I was going to shoot you but I see you have no weapon. Please move along or I had to kill you." I was offering spare guns for fresh spawns to fight me but not in SA. Not until we got tents at least.

My weirdest/creepiest/loneliest life in DayZ ever.

Ahem... And how do you know that you saw him? Just curious. Go jump from nearest building and die. No trolling. Stash your loot in some safe place and make sure that no restart will wipe it untill you get it back. Loot do not despawn now. So go suicide, respawn and see what happens next. Or... you might just be foreveralone survivor, maybe witch gave you cursed Hoxton mask

    Damn. Heart racing. (With pics!)

Great story, I enjoyed it. I recommend to play on private servers once they become avaliable.
  4. Was scared shitless when I tried to loot building at night near Guba. Clouds enabled, it was dark. Kind of lost, thought I was close to Olsha and needed water badly but then I found rails and was running quite some time along them because I was afraid to end up lost. After a while I saw silhouettes of buildings before me. I managed to get inside the house by blindly walking across the walls until icon of a door appeared. Cola, water bottle, anything goes. So I was slowly walking back and forth opening my inventory here and there... And then I heard someone running outside. Then I heard footsteps inside the house, someone opened door and gone. That was creepy as hell. Second time it was damn rabbit! At night again. That beast was running around me and moaning like zombie in a heat. I was trying to bolt but it was dark so I ended up running around in circles for about 2 minutes. Cursed creature!

    I won DayZ. Yep.

You can have chestholder AND pants/vest. You can find chestholder in firestation. Look corners, first floor. Often spawns with pistol nearby.

    I won DayZ. Yep.

I threw away walkie-talkie, lost my compass, found can opener, almost vomited from amount of food I ate. My inventory stuffed with containers of all kind, stanag mags are trash finds now... And I didn't killed anybody for a long time. Heading north was so much fun. Yay! <_< Now I'm gonna go back to Balota and die horribly.

    RCON dayz SA

It's actually quite similar to DayZ mod launch in that regard. Although with all whining back then we knew that Dean and his team doing it for free. Well, Arma 2 was required but mod itself was free. Now... let's hope that Bohemia and Rocket provide us with all needed tools without prolonged wait.

Your first encounter with a player in SA

Spawned with another guy nearby on the coast. I decided to test melee and been hit in the head. The end :)
  9. + I like new melee system Doors and stones do not break legs. I tried to break something on purpose and nothing happened. I like new character customization and overall look I like dark nights I like new locations on the map and more enterable buildings I like new zombie behavior. They can chase you inside of the buildings More reasons to traverse map in search of loot. Hunger, dehidration, sickness. Not perfect but works. - No private hives. No control over rented servers. No disconnect counter Broken illumination. At night most light sources provide rather small and hardly noticable amount of light. Gunshots are too quiet, hardly hear them from a distance. No respawn or suicide. Broken zombies. Minor things. Cannot loot dead No value of life. Fresh spawn have nothing to fear of. We need reasons to interact instead of killing on sight. So far there is none.

    I am a cold-blooded murderer

Yeah. Thrill of the kill and sense of danger is what drives me in DayZ. But on the other hand I need a challenge because easy kill in the back is good for loot but not much else. Your heart is not racing, you didn't actually beaten any odds and you not much better than any other player in the same situation. Anyone can pull the trigger. What I do like is intence fights, when you actually struggle and can die in any moment. And I'm often do :) Anything esle... not much of interest for me. Not in DayZ. Because if I want to build a base - I'll go play Minecraft or SpaceEngineers. If I want epic loot - I'll play some RPG. That being said I actually consider whom I kill and why I'm doing it. I want people to fight me, not run from me and never be seen again.

    Gamma cheating has been fixed?

Never had a firefight at pitch black night in SA yet. But may be it was a muzzleflsh? I remember that muzzleflash from bursts in mod was able to provide some sort of light.

    Gamma cheating has been fixed?

I can navigate fairly well without a flashlight even at the darkes times on the old parts of map. But looting and fighting is totally impossibru without source of lighting. And that pleases me. Lighting need some rework though, too dim. At a very dark night it should be a lot brighter. But nights with clear sky and bright moon... meh. All nights should be dark, especially in the forest. What's the point in day-night cycle anyway if night almost as bright as day?

    Rare TANK in the game

Yeah, played 2017 and it was quite boring. No tanks please.

Genuine hacks or people looking for attention?

Strongly disagree. As long as there is paid software and competitive element - there will be hacks. No matter what company size is - issue will be there. Larger companies can afford to suppress this problem by different set of means while smaller companies lack such luxury and suffer more as a result. It's was a matter of time and to tell the truth I'm not surprised to hear about hacks in DayZ SA at this stage. Alpha. What DayZ offer though is quite efficient way to beat said hack problem. Private Hives. Quite similar to rented servers in BF. People tend to gather by interests and I doubt that hacker can exist for long on a server where admin ban them on the first notice. They can buy their own server just for hacking though but I could care less if they are not spoil fun of others. And if somebody abusing admin privileges just to gain advantage - they can lose community fast. People just leave to play elsewhere. The way I see it public servers is just a half measure to test the game. Nothing else. Once more control over rented servers will be available to customers public servers become much less popular. Not completely unpopular, they have their purpose. It is a good place to learn the ropes and make your own impression about the game but they cannot suffice in the long term. Because of hacks, lack of teamplay and limited features.
