How do I take a screen shot

Idk if you can on a window's pc without a program to take one. You should try Fraps. I think it has a free version.  Or just google "screen capture software"

pressing F12 will take a screenshot through Steam

Otherwise you'll have to download a screenshot program

Just press F12, and it will save to Steam. You can get the picture or upload it from there.
