Ghost cities on Aussie Servers?

I am Legend or Omega Man - despite hanging around both Elektro and Cherno. I'm not finding anyone. Not that I wanna kill anyone but there is nobody out there. I know our populations can be a little on the low side but where the heck is everyone?

 

Guess I need to head to Balota, etc.

 

Any other players finding this around my neck of the woods?

We aussies usually have the sense to stay away from dangerous things (unless you are named Steve Irwin). However (especially on low pop servers) sometimes almost everyone on the server does this leading to this.

 

 

Other times, everyone is there and you end up getting chased by someone with an axe while you try and pull a pistol at full sprint.

I dunno about this because I've been roaming around Cherno and Elektro quite a bit and there is typically people there. Thing is, I know they're there but they have no clue I am.  ;)

A lot of people, myself included, stay far far away from those areas. But right now it is worse as a lot of people don't even play due to the insta-death and rubber-banding bugs

It took my son and his three mates 2 hours to reach end game.I dont think they have played it much this week,Rust however is a different story.

I think you miss the point of DayZ. There is no endgame. Especially right now when we are lacking so many features.

If you lower your weapon that you are carrying  (hit space) you should be able to switch to any other weapon without stopping.

And yes, I was in the same situation, flashlight in my hand, M4 on shoulders and being chased by psycho with payday2 mask (I hate these masks).
