What will the next update bring? Part 2 (No complaining, just daydreaming)

First I want to give credit to Mazzar in the last thread he predicted

 

1. Fix body disappearing
2. Fix logging out (timer)
3. Server hopping timer
4. Re-add magnum back in
5. Solider zombie models

 

 

I think the two biggest things were the revolver and the disappearing bodies. Glad those were fixed. So what do you guys think will be next?

 

I'm going to, once again, guess cooking. Maybe not the entire thing but the basic boil water, cook rice or canned food. Animals for hunting are not in yet so the full cooking won't be out for a while.

 

Soldier zombies will be cool when they get put in.

I'm not sure what will be next but I would like to see solider zombie models and it would also be cool if they made it so that they were harder to kill.

Zombies that don't clip, respawn, carry loot, and don't despawn immediately.

My guess is this 

 

1. Random sounds (soda cans, zombie sounds, etc) 

2. Quick swap keys 0-9 don't always work will be fixed

3. Flashlights going through walls

Hmmm...

 

- Log off timer of 15 secs (to remove combat logging.)

- Ability to light fires and hunt.

- Ability to cook with the pot and portable stove.

- Respawning Loot.

- Remove bullet noises when using fists or melee weapons.

- Bug fixes for smoother FPS in cities.

- Flashlight bug fixed.

Being able to spawn on a friend.

 

It gets boring having to run around without vehicles implemented yet, so being able to kill or be killed with someone by your side, as well as scavenge for gear - seems a whole lot more appealing. Something with a timer implemented would be nice.

 

I think this would increase much of the player interacted elements of the game in the more populated servers as well - making the experience more enjoyable.

I like that idea but would need something so its not abused. Maybe you get to log into a server and 1 time a day spawn by your friend.

This.... Super annoying. Hearing zombie rabbits, brief eating, brief noises of somebody loading magazines with rounds.

I'd like to see the shotgun added in, i mean, we got the ammo but where is the weapon?

My guess is this 

 

1. Random sounds (soda cans, zombie sounds, etc) 

2. Quick swap keys 0-9 don't always work will be fixed

3. Flashlights going through walls 

Pretty sure the 0-9 key issue is actually a desync issue

My guess would be:

 

1. combat logging time

2. Server changing timer

3. inclusion of another weapon possibly

4. more zeds added and/or increased players per server

1. Sound fixes
Random sounds disabled
-> wire fences etc middle of no where and none around..
Random entitie sounds fixed
-> rabbits making zed noises, random can pops etc.
2. Quickbar fix
-> Works randomly...
3. Cooking
-> Less ammo etc shit in inventory if you get good advantage of cooking stuff.

What now only i want is:

 

1) After reconnecting to same server sometimes character deleted and you reconnected as a new character.
2) Kind of anti-cheat for server hoppling because this is a very bad thing. Maybe only like 3 (or more 1 day etc.) hours timer for a change server. That will be great.

The timer for changing servers is idiotic, 1 day?? never going to happen, 3 hours i doubt it, 1 hour maybe. Lets look at the roots of the server hopping problems, not enough loot, and more importantly it does not respawn at any point unless server restarts. So instead of sitting here complaining and coming up with all sorts of redicilous ideas, repsawning loot is the answer your all are looking for.

Holy shit, how many times I've had a heart attack, because I was sneaking around to hear a zombie sound or soda can open RIGHT BEHIND ME. I cant wait till they get rid of that.

The hunting one wont be in for awhile. Remeber this is still a early Alpha they are focusing on bugs at the moment.

Cooking, wont be needed seeing as we can't hunt.

Respawning loot means loot farmers and things like that it makes loot to easy to obtain

Smoother FPS will come slowly once they start getting most of the bugs out, then they can (hopefully) focus on making it more optimized

After reading the upcoming stuff plan from Rocket hunting, cooking and respawning zombies/loot are some of the things at the top of the list and slated for "early 2014". So hope that means some what soon.

Bodies not dissappearing needs optimization though, walked into Elektro yesterday where a friend of mine and his buddies had murdered at least 20 people, fps peaked at 14 while outside it was a solid 30 plus

  • Remove/fix some of the random retarded sounds (from the random zombie noises and soda can cracks to toning down the overly obnoxious moaning when you get hurt and when you're healed, but still whining)

Fix zombie clipping

Move spawn points to another stupid location

Make M4A1 more accurate

Fix random deaths and character loss

Decrease lethality of falling stupidly short distances.
