Should beards be in DayZ?

Should a beard be in the game. Like an in game proof that you have survived for a while. Of course you could shave it off if you didn't want it. However it would be a neat addition, at least leter on down the road. I mean look at this thing! Boom it just screams "come at me bro".

EDIT!!!!!!! Ok then . . . maybe his beard doesn't scream "Come at me Bro" however here we go.

Yes, if only to have beards eventually become mouldable in any way ala beard contests.

I wanna see sh*t like this through the scope of a mosin one day.

That sh*t is so motherf*cking manly that i would let him live if i was that into PVP. I would have doubts that a mosin to the face would ruffle that beard.

I think if we all have to share the same face then yes, a beard would be most welcome. But then we'd all have the same beard.

 

Lets face it...QOL (quality of life) content is literally going to be the very last thing on this dev teams very long list of shit to do. Until Bohemia actually throws more development power behind this project...I'm sorry, 6 guys just can't be assed to bother with things like headmeshes, hair meshes and facial hair meshes or rigging models for customizable facial hair for that matter.

 

We've got a bargain basement dev team working on a top shelf product...unfortunately BIS kinda sees it the other way around and seems to think Arma 3 is worth more of their resources.

It wouldn't be too difficult to implement.

 

Day 3 of being alive: You have scruff.

Day 7 of being alive: You have some minor growth

Day 14 of being alive: You have a beard

Day 21+: Your beard gets longer and longer.

 

At any point you could shave it off using Razors, with a chance of cutting yourself and/or getting infected if you don't disinfect your razors or if the razors are not "pristine"

The default character screen should be gender, race, clothing, shoes and beard type.

 

Note - there should be no option for No Beard.

 

Unless there are 3rd person/Nameplates/Crosshairs/No Beard servers made available.

I'm sure there will be... it is just Alpha with limited character options... maybe even due to Rocket's realism it will grow over time and we would have to find super rare razors to trim it... or we will become walking wookies!!!!!!!
