tommy290 941 Posted December 22, 2013 I think you can eat and drink a ton, which will allow you to regain blood. I assume this will not be a quick process though. Or, you can get a blood bag. Still no idea how those work. I think I have all the stuff necessary, but not positive.

colekern 1364 Posted December 22, 2013 (edited) I figured out how it works today. You need a lot of food, I mean, a LOT. It took me about 5 cans of sardines and beans, two boxes of cereal, half a water bottle, and half a canteen to start healing. There have been reports of people healing after eating less food though. After you eat and drink a lot, you should get a message that says 'My stomach feels stuffed'. After that, when you open your inventory, it should say 'healing' right next to your character. It should look like this: Edited December 22, 2013 by colekern
HIHBGaming 14 Posted December 22, 2013 Having no Hunger or Thirst indicators in your inventory screen should mean that you are regenerating blood over time. Maintain those hunger/thirst levels and you will consistently regen blood over time, not sure how long the time period is but you will regen none the less. Ozar 108 Posted December 22, 2013 i believe that you are not stuffed just after the indicators disappeared. you have to keep eating and drinking till it says that you are stuffed in green letters.

I think not having the indicators only means you are just above the threshold for hunger/thirst. Not sure if you'll regen at that level though.
sess130 50 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Pretty sure you need to max out your hunger/thirst levels to regen blood (i.e. not just passed the threshold but 'full' stomach). After you have regen'd blood, your health will start going up too, if you are wounded. Just remember that if you're wounded you'll need antibiotics to get rid of the 'sick' status, which I believe will halt/slow your blood/health regen (not confirmed). When you're at full health/blood/hunger/thirst you will see a message next to your char in the inventory screen stating that you're 'healthy'. Good luck surviving! Edit: If you have a buddy, a saline IV or blood IV will restore blood levels and you will regain color (personally confirmed).
