The Character you Play is not on any of your harddrives. the character is on the hive (central Server). So if you would visit me and log on my Computer into your account. your character will still be in same Position ( and my char as well). same for the stable/exp Servers. you load your Position from their hives. And yes Stable/exp Servers do use different hives, as well as first Person and third Person Servers have different hives. again. your char (gear,positions etc) is not on your Computer.it is on the hive.

i have a question about this. was the AKM in the bag ? or just on the ground ?

Okey here my Results: I barely made it back to my hiding spot. The Fireplace i dropped near was gone. The logs and stone next to it on the ground was gone too. ..... The Backbag was still there even with all the stuff in it. It worked man. i am very satisfyed with that. The stuff in the bag was still in same condition, i dont know if it takes more time that it may go in bad coditions. But thats good news anyways. Afterall i can confirm that the persistance work. You gone far surviver but now its time to settle down and work for a better life. Have Fun !!! [edit]: some bug i noticed: when you step onto your bag on the ground and open your inventory, the bag on the ground will appear as empty. But after i have put another item in that bag (on the ground) all the other items appeared. so dont get chocked like i did. Just my first row of the slots where invisible and i was thinking that a other guys found it and was still near to that spot. i freaked out and searched bushes for ten minutes until i put some other stuff in the bag and the rest appeared. little laugh about myself at that point.

Okey, i did a second try today. I placed a selfcrafted small bagback ( rope and sack ) not under a tree this time but pretty well hidden in high grass, i mean this bagback is small and green so should be hard to find anyway. I placed in it a closed can of peaches and a open one. a fresh peace of meat and a cooked one some amo and bandages. after almost 3,5 hours i looked and it was still there and nothing changed. i will report back if something happens. i will check back at 21-22 o'clock.

hm i was on a official dayz dev supported server ( "DayZ UK x-xx .... " ) yesterday. I build a backpack from a burlap sack an a rope , layed it under a tree pretty far away from all the hotspots, stored a can some ammo and a rag in it and came back today. Backpack was gone! Maybe this kind of bagback is not a container/storage or somebody really found it what i cannot imagine ( the server was not even high populated ). Do you guys think the server crashed over night ? and what if ? does this mean the server resetts everything even persistance ? Or does the persistance even work properly ? [edit]: or maybe even the tree-location was not good. and the tree "eats" the bagback. maybe i should check if its working on a road.

Its a Device with only one purpose "KILL". what is it that you all know so much about those things ? This one Looks like that "old chetterhand" has already killed some bears with it. does it still work ? Well, thats not what i read. I read that a Hive will get a "economy" for loot spawns. That means that you will have 5 Long range scopes for example on the hole hive, if they are looted by Players no more Long range scopes will spawn until one of the 5 will be destroyed. But i cannot say if the "Loot-economy" is in the exp. branch or if it will come later.

Hi, i wanna say two things to that. first is that in the very first days of the SA you could find there loot also, then it disappeared. so maybe they just fixed that bug. and the second is, if there was a bug i dont think that it will Need a patch/hotfix on the client-side, rather on the Server side so we will not recognize if there was a hotfix. Hicks talked about that earlier that he found the cause of the loot-problem. so yes there already could be a hotfix on the Servers.

I highly recommend you to not rent a Server !!! - You will have no admin rights at all. you will not be able to control who is gonna Play on your Server ( kick People you dont wanna have on your Server will be not allowed ) - You will have no permission to put a Password on your Server when you doing an Event or something else. - You pay that you can give the Server i nice title in the Server list - thats all. dont waste your Money. - You will not be able to restart the Server - for example you just installed a new teamspeak Version or you have Webspace for your Homepage on it. This is not like Hosting a Server in all the other games where you can do what you want on YOUR Server. you will be allowed to Play on it, yes. GREAT [EDIT]: and i tell you why: if you hit the restart button , just because you like to, 100% there will be one person who says. "bah you are exploiting your admin rights". you wanna have a friend on your server which is full. kick a random guy to let your friend join will bring people to say : "bah you are exploiting your admin rights". man i can remember the times where all players wanted to kickvote the admin, he pauses the server and laughs about everybody and then kicked them all. that was funny guys. that was your property. man you will not even be allowed to save slots for your friends or yourself. and than ( hahaha, thats so bad ) you have to play on another srever. because yours is full and you are not allowed to kick because everybody will defenetly cry : "bah you are exploiting your admin rights".

Hey guys, that reminds me on the awesome Icehockey-trip in Finnland against the finnish number 2 i think. European Trophy tour. We had a Banner what said "ITS FINNISH BUT NOT THE END" the vacation was awesome. finnish icehockey fans are awesome, will come back every time i can.
