Death By Fall Damage.

Next to eating a rotten Kiwi, quite possibly the worst, most pathetic and most annoying way to die ATM.

 

Personally i'd rather have a bandit shoot me in the face, instead of tripping over a fence and falling four feet (Yes, four feet) to my death.

 

Is the Fall Death limit set in stone, or is it under construction still like most of the game?

If not, increasing the length it takes to kill you would help. 

I know that jumping annoying above seven feet would probably cause me to break or harm something... but i wouldn't die 0.0

Watch where you step or better yet hold shift while somewhere 4 feet or more off the ground. You'll love the shipwreck! It has no railings throughout most of it and the drops are 10 feet or more. :lol:

I noticed that as well. I fell against a wall and it broke my legs and was force to crawl.

 

It seems that our characters are incredibly weak such as getting killed by 1 shot from an Mosin, M4 or FNX..

There is no way - but if you did than I can say with confidence that my character is very adept at parkour.

I climbed down a building wall and dropped the 6 feet or so....and died. Shame considering i wouldnt die in RL falling from such height.

Once i died i ran back to my body only for it to server restart when i was less than 100m away from it...typical.

Also i will say i avoid all ladders that i know are bugged which is literally half the ladders in the game especially the ones in the towers.

Rocket, heal our osteoporosis too while you're at it. Right now we have the stamina of a world class runner and the bones of 90 -years old granny. I dropped from the top of first stairs in a barn and broke my legs. Then I crawled up again and dropped second time so that I could respawn.

Nothing, absolutely nothing in DayZ scares me more than getting on a ladder. After it launched me off the top of one I've been scared of them ever since. I think I have developed ladder phobia. At least the height was enough to snap my legs (it outright killed me).

I've luckily never died from jumping a fence, but ladders are my worse enemy. I have noticed though that if I put my weapon away first and fists ain't raised etc, this sudden launching you forward over the edge doesn't happen as much, just a case of remembering to sometimes.

I'm on the "no ladder" diet as well.  There is nothing at the top of any ladder in DayZ, that's worth dying for.  Funny, with all the walking / jogging my character does, I'd think his legs would be a lot stronger.

The new shipwreck worries me. It's like ladders multiplied by a million. It feels glitchy and I don't trust it at all. I'm waiting for it to (a) teleport me through the floor (II) teleport me outside the ship (yellow) launch me into the air above the ship (delta) jam me underneath the ship etc. I make a point of visiting it as quickly as possible and logging out when I'm far away from it (and the shipping crates) just in case.

I lumped myself to death by falling out of a 3 foot hunting shack thing.

Imagine how I felt going up the stairs in the Black Mountain tower ruins. :o

(Only to find out all the loot was stuck to the ceiling of the damn thing)
