Monitor resolution: up to 1920x1680

CPU: Intel i5-2500

Graphics card: Intel HD 2000

RAM: 2x4 GB Samsung original (DDR3 pc3-10660 1333MHz)

SSD? (Yes/No) - No

It allows playing arma dayz at the lowest settings (3d res 50-65%). Rocket said that standalone runs better then ArmA-dayz. Could it happen or not?

By the looks of it your PC is actually half decent but the only problem is the CPU integrated graphics. I have no idea how you managed to play the game at 1920x1080 on igpu but you should be looking to add an actual dedicated graphic card. HD 7850 or better is recommended.

Please respond to my post. I really need you guys to comment.

It should run on low and maybe with some medium thrown in but you need to understand that your bottleneck is the HD 5570, which is now old card and never was a real gaming card to begin with. On the other hand HD 7850 and better would probably show a bottleneck in your CPU. See if you can upgrade to HD7850 or similar ( like at least GTX 650Ti )

You'd need to run bootcamp or how its called to run game/s under windows in mac which puts even more strain on the CPU. Since the CPU is now fairly old, including GPU, I'd say there no chance to run it.

Your graphic card is holding you back considerably and even more so at 2560*1440. A HD 7870 or GTX 770 would be recommended.

Little tricky. It should run on low since the integrated GPU is alright for laptop. Nothing spectacular but ok. Try and search for gamebooster thing that will disable unnecessary stuff while playing. It works.

Keep your laptop plugged in to mains while gaming and on a table for best cooling as to avoid any underclocking.

Ok here it is - http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html

( can be used for any laptop so yea )

This is one of the examples why i5 in laptop is better than an i7. Higher clock speed of the i5 ( generally / mostly )

The i7 is not a octa core, its 4 core and at 2.2 Ghz it is slow clocked, not to mention that the 16Gb is an utter waste of resources and money. The 740m should allow you to up the settings to decent medium but as said the CPU is holding you back

Not only the core 2 duo is seriously outdated CPU today, it's also slow clocked at 2.66Ghz. Unfortunately the Geforce 320m is so weak that technically, it should not even be able to play movies.

Apologies if being bit negative here but mac's are only good for document editing

You have the same specs as I do. While I've never really bothered to measure fps, quick measurements show anywhere from 35 to 80 FPS or so. Frankly though, I personally see little to no point running anything max if I can't even see the difference. Some AA/AF tech make your PC work much harder for literally no benefit at all and is the reason why I am not bothered to max something out. I stick to what looks good enough and or lower the settings if I simply can't tell the difference anymore.

Graphics Card? NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660

I'm almost sure this can run it, but I'm just asking because ARMA 2 still acts weird and stiff for me.

Also, what quality can it run at? Anybody know?

You won't be on max settings or anything but it would be perfectly playable.

No, if you managed to run the .exe without crashing you'd be lucky to get 5 FPS. Sorry!!

Would run the game but IMO not at a very playable level. Would not recommend purchasing for that machine.

You aren't gonna maintain 60 FPS on that in cities unless you replace the whole machine.

If you're stuttering it may be that your hard-drive is struggling. What model is it? Have you defragged and otherwise cleaned it up lately?

Have you tried disabling clouds? They were causing stuttering for a lot of people, although it has stopped now, for me at least. Worth a try though!

It would just about run on low settings but you'd be struggling with low FPS.
