Rhys10846 6 Posted January 1, 2014 I managed to run Arma 2 DayZ MOD perfectly fine, and I am happy with my performance on DayZ Standalone too. Just posting my specs and frame-rates here so that if anyone has the same kind of specs as me you can see the FPS you should expect. Desktop or laptop? Aurimas (DayZ) 0 Posted January 2, 2014 Hey guys,I just wanted to ask you if I would be able to play DayZ standalone on my laptop? GPU: Nvidia Geforce 740M with 2GB VRAM.CPU: Intel Core I5-3337U, 1.8GHzRAM: 6GBMy max resolution is 1366x768. So, what do you think, would I be able to play DayZ? Maybe I could try playing Arma 2 and get a feeling how much FPS I would get in DayZ standalone (I heard that DayZ is based on Arma 2 engine, so I guess graphics are similar) Thank you for help! Aurimas (DayZ) 0 Posted January 2, 2014 CPU seems a bit weak.Merged.So I guess my laptop would be strugling even on very low settings? :(
boneboys 7988 Posted January 2, 2014 Recommended CPU is Intel Core i5-2300. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/153735-frequently-asked-questions/#entry1541504
terminal_boy 860 Posted January 2, 2014 Personally, I'd say that should be the minimum spec.. For such a CPU intensive game, you want a CPU that can hold a decent overclock. Reading the PC specs of people who can get decent frame rates at on anything above Medium graphics settings, i5 and i7 CPUs overclocked past 4GHz seem to be a common factor. Your CPU is good and you should be looking at at least HD7770 or 7850. Ideally 7950, providing you have sufficient power supply
