Hey guys!

I think it's quite a long shot that I'll be able to run it, but if anyone could let me know if I'd have a chance to play this even on the lowest settings I'd really appreciate it:

Desktop or laptop? Laptop
Monitor resolution: 1280x800
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
RAM:* 8GB
SSD? (Yes/No) No

Many thanks!

I managed to run Arma 2 DayZ MOD perfectly fine, and I am happy with my performance on DayZ Standalone too. Just posting my specs and frame-rates here so that if anyone has the same kind of specs as me you can see the FPS you should expect.

Desktop or laptop? Desktop
Monitor resolution: 1920x1080
CPU: AMD Bulldozer FX-6100 3.3GHz Six-Core Processor
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6790
RAM:* 8GB DDR3
SSD? (Yes/No) No

FRAME RATES & GRAPHIC SETTINGS

  • VERY LOW: In cities; 30-50 - Everywhere else; 50+
  • MEDIUM: In cities; 15-30 - Everywhere else; 25-40
  • HIGH: In cities; 5-10 - Everywhere else; 10-20

Hey guys,

I just wanted to ask you if I would be able to play DayZ standalone on my laptop?

GPU: Nvidia Geforce 740M with 2GB VRAM.

CPU: Intel Core I5-3337U, 1.8GHz

RAM: 6GB

My max resolution is 1366x768.

So, what do you think, would I be able to play DayZ? Maybe I could try playing Arma 2 and get a feeling how much FPS I would get in DayZ standalone (I heard that DayZ is based on Arma 2 engine, so I guess graphics are similar)

Thank you for help!

CPU seems a bit weak.

Merged.

Personally, I'd say that should be the minimum spec..

For such a CPU intensive game, you want a CPU that can hold a decent overclock.

Reading the PC specs of people who can get decent frame rates at on anything above Medium graphics settings, i5 and i7 CPUs overclocked past 4GHz seem to be a common factor.

It's a very weak card. Your CPU is good and you should be looking at at least HD7770 or 7850. Ideally 7950, providing you have sufficient power supply

I know it's not ideal to play DayZ on a laptop. I would like the option just in case.

If I were to buy this lappie how do you think it would fare?

- Intel Core i7 processor 4700QM 2.4-3.4 Quad Cores 1600MHz FSB 6MB L3 Cache

- 16GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM

- SanDIsk Extreme SSD 440Gig

- NVidia GeForce GT 740M 2GB With Optimus + Intel HD Graphics 4600

thoughts?
