Will DayZ run on Windows XP?

Recommended Posts

I don't think so.  The minimum requirements is Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

I believe so, but prepared to get lots of viruses, hacked/ porn you never installed onto your computer that just randomly appeared there, on windows xp soon since microsoft is not supporting it anymore.

Hello there

The feedback Im getting, is yes, it will run.

Is it supported? No.

Will there be issues? Possibly

With it always run on Xp? Dunno.

If you have to use an "obsolete" OS then expect a less than stellar experience.

Do I recommend it? No.

Rgds

Hi, I'm your friend from Russia, I really appreciate your work, but here there is one nuance that I think you will also be profitable. Its essence lies in the fact that it would be not bad you make a patch for DayZ Standalone, to optimize it for Windows XP or make the system requirements for Windows XP, because many who have Windows XP, including me, think and you will be beneficial to this, because more people will be able to buy DayZ SA, and many other people will also be advantageous to it. Thanks in advance!

It is a DX9 renderer, so the answer is yes.

Correct me if I'm incorrect.

"We are very sorry, but support for Windows XP is not planned. Please try to run the game only on Windows Vista SP2 or higher."

With Windows XP you likely get this error "Error: Device reset failed, error 8876086c"
