The way he has written it lets the reader interpret in different ways, much like in litterature (something we call open spaces). This gives two obvious interpretations - yours and the one that I myself find more likely: The hypothetical person who misunderstands the whole fps issue might, a couple of weeks down the line, look up Dayz SA footage on youtube, after the release and then get pleasantly surprised.
