As for release - no one here knows a date and we are unlikely to be given one.  My guess is you'll wake up one morning and it will be sitting nicely in the Early Access area.

It'd probably be smart for them to sell in waves.. so the servers don't get wrecked so quickly.. Get people in slowly.. I can still see it arriving this month

The truth is that nobody really knows. It will probably just pop up on steam, but I have a feeling that the forum is going to get some kind of hint or heads up shortly beforehand. I have no evidence to support this, it's just a hunch.
