sincere (DayZ) 0 Posted October 15, 2013 With all due respect, I dont believe that matters. However, it was from a third-party website.I suppose I should just get a refund and buy it from steam...............God damn it man, Im just angry as hell after spending DAYS trying to get day-z working. I bought Arma 3 on steam only to find out it doesnt run on XP. I messed up my computer trying to update to windows 7, now back on XP. Bought Arma 2 without realizing you need CO to run dayz. Finally scape some cash for OA and cant even download it. Ugh...

I suppose I should just get a refund and buy it from steam...............If it was actually legit, you would've had no trouble naming the site. Now you just sound like you're hiding something. And since you haven't bought the key through Steam, they cannot and WILL NOT refund you anything, since you didn't buy it from them in the first place. That said, asking or forcing a refund is going to put you in a bad stance with them in most cases. Edit; Why buy a "KEY" and not the Game Ugh.....Why use Steam when you can buy a hard copy?* You don't pay for the game itself when you make a purchase through Steam. *When applicable Edited October 15, 2013 by Dancing.Russian.Man
OrLoK 16185 Posted October 15, 2013 Hello there One must ensure one buys keys from approved sources only. Especially as non legit keys often don't work or are soon compromised. Any legit site will also supply a link to the game download. From your experiences it seems you need to not mash the "buy" button and do a little research beforehand in the future. Lastly, if you do let us know where you got you key from we may be able to assist. Although, your best bet is on the Bohemia forums as we primarily deal with the mod here. sincere (DayZ) 0 Posted October 15, 2013 Thank you all very kindly for the prompt responses. That said, asking or forcing a refund is going to put you in a bad stance with them in most cases. I was not going to ask steam for the refund, but the third-party website itself. Which is cdkeyexpress.com . I have bought legit steam cd keys from here in the past. This was not the case this time. Lastly, if you do let us know where you got you key from we may be able to assist. Although, your best bet is on the Bohemia forums as we primarily deal with the mod here. Rgds LoK Yes, thank you kindly for the response. I understand this website deals primarily with day-z itself, so again thank you for taking the time. The third-party website was cdkeyexpress.com . I am positive these keys are legit, not stolen and bought from bethesdia. Usually these sites buy cd-keys in bulk when a game goes on sale. But I digress.I suppose ill just call it a loss of 15$ and save up for the steam version because there is no other way to just download OA. Cheers and warm regards. Max Planck 7174 Posted October 15, 2013 Have you tried the 'add a game to Steam' function? All you need is a cdkey, you can add retail games and keys bought in bundles and such. It might work for you.
boneboys 7988 Posted October 15, 2013 None of the CD Key/Serial resellers we know about have obtained a proper license. The origin of their CD Keys is unknown, but we do know about numerous occasions when they sell banned / disabled CD Keys so you will not be able to play the game online at all.
