ActionManZlt 160 Posted June 21, 2012 It's not intense. It's unplayable.there ain't much left to do cept sit on your hands. Go prone? Zombie spots you and kills you. Make a run for it? No shit you get killed. Go to a barn? Either spook a zombie or say hello to a bandit. Rinse and repeat.Learn to play / adjust your play style? I've spawned 3 new characters since the patch, and each of them has easily gotten basic starting gear together. The new zombie AI does make this playable, because running is now an option in the new patch -- as an unarmed civilian, you actually can run and hide in urban areas now (or at least I did, 3 times).Yes, one time I was killed by a bandit, but that was after I'd scavenged a revolver/food and I did walk into his flare, so it was fair. chibigoat 59 Posted June 21, 2012 It's not intense. It's unplayable.Barns are not plentiful and what few there are have become bandit hotspots. You're in idiot.. lolThis update is fucking awesome, love the new agro radius and such, everything is really good right now. dyno0919 0 Posted June 21, 2012 It's a lot better but PieceOfDust is right. I was proning on the second level of a building and a zombie from the ground way out came running in. I didn't even crouch like he did. It's not nearly as bad as before, I think that was just a random occurrence, but it could still be improved upon. This patch finally is amazing though! My only complaint is that the second I got a gun some noob crossbowed me and left me to bleed out. I didn't even have ammo and he just ran off.
goblinshark 5 Posted June 21, 2012 I find deep doubt in many of these diluted posts claiming how "ULTRA QUIET" (x) person was when suddenly, ZOMBIES from the shades of hell appear and attack them. There are over 8 people from my work playing this game now, and 5 more en rout. None of us, as of yet, have experienced this over-aggressive zombie action. There are times where they aggro from way further than they should when you are at a full "C" sprint or sometimes an "X" run. However, while prone, I'm virtually undetectable. There are so many immature and inexperienced video gamers logging on here, hearing about it, downloading it, and expecting CoD, BF3, WoW, or some other mainstream game. This is a military simulator-based zombie post-apocalyptic SURVIVAL game. You aren't SUPPOSED to start with anything. The number one word I think that can describe people's issues here is patience, nobody has it. People just want to run in guns blazing and fight other people and slay zombies. Go buy Left 4 Dead or something if those are your intentions. You have to crawl, SLOWLY, throw tin cans and other objects to distract zombies. That gear you have should be both hard to find and hard to get. After that, it's a sneaking game. Everyone continues BEGGING for "realism," then when realism is thrown in their face they cry. You will not be running around owning up cities by yourself in "real life" under these circumstances. To continue enhancing the difficulty of this game while maintaining the current experience, the coders need to continue fixing bugs and other technical issues for a cleaner game, while not taking away from the difficulty. Stop your complaining, this forum sounds like a bunch of 8-year-old kids who just got slapped in the mouth by their mom because they drank out of the milk carton without a glass. *no offense to the good 8-year-old players who are doing good without talking*I REALLY hope Rocket and the other people developing this project don't give in to the cries for an easier game.I promise you, start a character with PATIENCE in mind, and you will succeed. You will need to crawl, wait, and search, but you will succeed.

septuscap 42 Posted June 21, 2012 However' date=' while prone, I'm virtually undetectable. [/quote']I had to prone a bit pre-1.7, but having to prone everywhere has hurt the gameplay a lot. Crouching used to be enough to sneak around a city, and it made for very interesting urban combat; surrounding an oblivious mark with stealth, sneaking up on a sniper, or just avoiding a flank, all while avoiding zombie aggro. 100% prone has killed that outright. What rocket should have added was roaming hordes of zombies in addition to the stationary zeds guarding loot spawns. That would have added a dynamic element to the game. Even if there was no horde in sight, the threat of some horde lurking within aggro radius of your rifle would definitely affect play (and having 50+ zombies pour out of the woods would definitely make for a great twist to any gunfight)
RetroOctane 1 Posted June 21, 2012 Ever since I switched to 1.7.1.5 I've been having this Problem. Every time I join a server, 1 of 2 things happens.1: I get stuck on the loading screen.2: I spawn about 3000m outside the map while some AI keeps yelling at me to regroup. However, you're still going to spawn out of the map after fixing it (your corrupted position has probably been saved in the DB). Be thankful if you've still got your gear -- the same problem can delete corrupt your inventory as well as just your position.
