Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

Desktop or laptop? Laptop

Monitor resolution: 1366 x 768

CPU:  Intel Core i5 3210M 2.50 GHz

Graphics card: NVIDIA 630M GT

RAM: 8 GB  DDR3

SSD? (Yes/No) No.

CPU is quite slow, and laptops have a really bad time with ArmA II. If you manage to play, expect low FPS and lots of heat issues. Sorry!

Laptop

Resolution:  1600 x 900

CPU:  Intel Core i5-3230M 2.6GHz Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz
Graphics Card:  NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M 4Gb vram

Ram:  8gb DDR3

No ssd 750 hdd 5400rpm

Like I said above, everything is slightly better, but even on low settings it may struggle.

hey guys. my main question was, what is the estimated FPS that i will get with this setup?

Desktop

Monitor resolution:1920x1080 (HD?)

CPU: i7 4770 3.4 quad core.

Graphics card: Gigabite GeForce GTX 770 2GB

RAM:16 GB

SSD: Yes. 120 GB

Looks fine, you'll should be getting 40+ on high.

Interested in buying this wondering if i can run dayz at what settings and fps ????

Two 3.2 Dual Core XEON CPU's for a total of 4 processor (upgradeable to 8)

16GB DDR ECC Memory (upgradeable to 32GB)

1TB Hard drive (additional space for extra drives

Geforce GTX 650 TI 1GB Dedicated DDR5 Video card

875W Power Supply

Looks OK, but Xeon CPUs are usually used as server chips and I don't know exactly how they perform when gaming.

If everything does check out, you could be getting ~30+ on normal - high.

I want to know if I could play Dayz with this laptop before I buy it because that's one of the main reasons I'm getting this laptop (mobile Dayz) and don't give me that bullshit saying I cant run it at all because it's a laptop i want to be able to play at least medium-low or  higher with 30 fps could tell me if I could manage that or if I could run Dayz at all.

CPU:  Intel Core i5-3230M 2.6GHz with turbo boost up to 3.2ghz

GPU:  NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M 4gb Vram

RAM:  8GB DDR3

OS:  Windows 8 64-bit

Hard Disk:  750GB hdd@5400rpm

Just about.

Maybe some of our other members would like to comment !

Using DinoPC. Unsure as to whether cyber power or chillblast would be a better alternative here in the UK. But here are the 2 shining out so far. The first being around £729 and the second build £645. Any help will be much appreciated.

1 Potato

Mars Bar processor and

Irn bru OS

Should run pretty fine, how ever a fried mars bar proccessor is most likely better, depending if a chip-shop is near your current area.

Also you should add some haggis to give it some  ooomf

I don't know if this is appropriate to ask but could anyone help me with mabey a lower budget computer that can run dayz at 25 fps+. Right now lowest settings I can run 20 fps in towns and 10 fps in forests. When I play I am at a very large disadvantage for not only anyone in a ghillie suit or in a bush looks like grass. Because of this I try to stay within larger city's more often than forests. I can spend up to $550 at one time but over weeks I can get more parts any price below 400 a part. If the price is close to it then I can see if I could. Thank you very much if you can help me out.

Build one dude.  Its all about the GPU.  A 660 is considerably better than a 650 ti

Though both will play the game!

idk where you are from, but here is a build from the US.

Unfortunately, the best I could get whilst still meeting your requirements, was about $40 over your budget.

(if you live somewhere that isn't the US, just change the country in the top right hand corner :))

I've been getting bad performance on Dayz servers whenever I'm in towns, or when there's over 30 people on the server.

Decent, 40ish in unpopulated areas, 30 in populated areas.

It will run. You'll have to run at low settings and I wouldn't expect blistering performance but 20-30 fps should be doable.

This.... wow. Ok, first off, that triple core can probably turn into a quad core - google it.

Secondly, you're wasting a gig of RAM by running a 32bit OS. Fix that asap as Windows is holding it back.

For the sake of argument, I'll assumt you have a 5770. I wouldn't expect much more than 30fps anywhere to be honest.

So... that's when I upgrade? Or the FPS I can expect now, because right now I've been getting around 30 fps when the server is not too full.
