Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

So i was on dayz like 2 weeks ago with my crappy computer and I WASNT PLEASED ! <_<

So i made my decision to buy a new computer ^_^ . I found this computer and thought it was good enough but im not really sure. Can you guys help me out ? :|

https://www.ksl.com/...mputer&ad_cid=4

That will run ArmA II at 30 - 40 on high.

Can I run dayz? (If so what settings?)

i5 3570K oc to 4.5ghz cpu

8gb ram

gtx 660 2gb gpu

40 - 50 on high.

Dulix if my graphics card which is a Integrated AMD HD7660D wasn't intergrated, what would my fps be, because you told me that it would run at 30 in low-med, so if it wasn't intergrated, would the fps be better?

The 7760D is a APU, which pretty much means your CPU and GPU are in one, but yes, if you had a dedicated card you would get much better frames, depending on what it is of course.

Buddy, a mid range GPU from 2006 isn't going to run this game smoothly on even low settings. You shouldn't be making recommendations buddy.

You shouldn't be on the forums im saying from personal experience don't be a hater :P

I have been reading around on this form and I want to know something,Why is it if some one asks if they can run on a desktop everyone is like 'maybe you never know' but if some one ask,s about a pretty good laptop people say " NOPE 10 fps get a desktop" what I want to know is, are laptops that bad?

I mean for example is a gtx670m really that bad?

I don,t mean to insult people to tell laptop buyers to get a desktop, its just that I have a desktop that runs tomb raider 2013 on ultra 60 fps so when people say to get a desktop it is just silly.

Thanks!

The CPU is way too weak, it should be at least 3.0GHz to run smoothly.

LOL, my member title is Eaten by a grue (Zork reference, in case you were wondering), my username is dulix11. That OK though.

Anywho, you didn't include a GPU with that build, I would reccomend something like a 7770+ for Radeon cards and a 650+ for Nvidia cards, other than that everything should be fine.

The GPU needs an upgrade, with that build you might get 10 - 25 on low.

CPU is too weak, and intergrated graphics are not very good. You'll be lucky to get to the title screen with that.

Going to be purchasing this within the next week.

What can I expect with my setup?

Hp Pavilion dv7 Laptop

AMD A8 4500M Vision: quad core @2.4Ghz(OC'd to 2.67Ghz)

6gig DDR3 1666Mhz

Ati Radeon 6750M 1 gig dedicated

Standard 5400rpm HD

I can run Crysis 1 on high settings with no lag, just wondering how I'd hold up with dayz considering how large the map is.
