AManInTheWoods 2 Posted December 1, 2013 Im new to this forum and looking for a new setup that doesnt cost too much but isnt too cheap. I want to at least run 30-45fps in the cities and whatever in the woods. Ive looked at the FX series, A series, I3 series, and I5 series. I currently have an AMD A8-5500, i dont think this will run it how i want to play. Would it? I am considering the A8-5600K only because i had read that someone was getting those fps in the cities with it on medium settings and AA on low. True?? True??Im not too sure about what fps you would get currently as i am not familiar with the a series amd chips. For an upgrade id reccomend an i5 3570k, its a very powerful cpu and you can overclock the shit out of it.If you can afford it the i5 4670k is even better. If youre looking fo more bang for buck id reccomend the amd fx 6300, its a good price and has nice performance, or maybe an fx 8320/50Itwould also help if you posted the rest of your specs too so we could give an accurate prediction of what fps you will get. It would run it at an okay fpsBut it needs a gpu, and if you dont have one i would reccomend a radeon 7850
AManInTheWoods 2 Posted December 1, 2013 Hmm, i was actually looking at that graphics card at a nearby store. It seems as tho, im going to buy one of the listed pc's on newegg that contain the FX-6300. Ive read a few vs's pages between it and the 8320, i would prefer the 6300 for overclocking ability. What kind of FPS would i be looking at with a decent card?
Skypill 399 Posted December 1, 2013 With a card like the 7850 my guess would be 30-50 fps on medium to high settings. Also newegg isquite a big company so remember to search online for voucher codes
MrCasualCanadian 0 Posted December 1, 2013 But hes obviously not doing that, i mean itsa good psu but its such a big overkill its like mars rolling over you. If you are wanting to sli, run a few fluid coolers etc, its smart to make sure you have plenty o head room in your psu ;) WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU NEED A 1000 WATT PSU FORSRSLY DOOD Actually i am planning to put in two 650 Ti Boosts in about a year, liquid cooling. anyway without the extra GPU can you just awnser the question?!, like please
