Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

Hey, may i run DayZ with the following specs: Cpu= i5 3350P, Gpu= Evga GTX 670, 8gb ram( 1600mhz) kingston, and i have a 850w psu.

Iam planning to upgrade to a i7 3770k, should i go for it, or should i keep my i5 3350p?

And if i have the money i will upgrade to a gtx 780 (Not Ti), but is it worth it?

And yes i play arma 2-3 quite often, and dayz, and standalone when it comes.

Pardon my English.

Sincerly Glenn-Andrè.  :D

Edit: I have a ssd,(kingston)

Hi, yes you can defenitly run DayZ and you'll get a very good fps, even on medium settings

Upgrading to the 3770k is a good idea since it have a lot of overclocking potensial. But I suggest getting a aftermarket cooler

I am going to SLI my gtx 760, as research and benchmarks suggests that 2 gtx 760 perform way better than 1 gtx 780/gtx titan, but if you go for the gtx 780 you have a lot more flexebility

Thanks For fast and nice answer! :D   ^_^ *Correct me if i am worng* I've heard that SLI kinda sucks for arma2-3 and arma engine itself, but ofcourse this may be wrong...

Yes it does, but on the contarary, the new standalone would probably/hopefully support SLI and nvidia drivers were updated to support SLI on Arma 3 but I don't know for Arma 2.

With that system and a gtx 760 on SLI would kill any game out there today.

My friend have a FX 8350 cpu and a gtx 760 on SLI and he have no problems. He are running Arma 2/DayZ on high settings and get 30-40 fps.

As far as I know you can enable and disable SLI. So you can disable SLI before running DayZ ;-)

Hi, yes you can run DayZ. You'll get 30 + fps on low settings.

You'll have to upgrade you graphics card, if you want to play on higher setting. Your CPU will do for now. BTW, this game is very CPU heavy

Refer to the reply I made on your other post, but if you read this first, I highly recommend you build a pc for much cheaper instead.  Do not buy an alienware.

Yup, should run normal-high settings with 30+ FPS.

Yeah, you'll run okay on low-medium settings on there.

Yeah, it'll run on low on the intgrated graphics. You'll be able to just about max it out once you put the GTX 780 in there though.

could you estimate how much fps id get with everything on low with just the integrated graphics? Because i heard arma is a very cpu intensive game, and thats a pretty good cpu, i should get at least some decent fps, right?

It's really hard to say, sorry. The 3570k is a decent CPU, I have one myself, but you'll be bottlenecked horribly by the integrated graphics chip.

Hello,

I'm thinking of buying arma 2 for this MoD, it seems very fun and intresting.

My specs are as follows :

22" monitor running a max res of 1080p

AMD FX 6300 black edition cpu

Corsair Vengeance 1333 mhz 4 GB ddr3

Gigabyte AMD Radeon 7790 HD 1GB PCI-Express 3.0 HDMI OC

It will be great if anyone with similar specs could give me an idea of what my fps would be.

Thanks

So i've got myself Arma 3 on this build , just want to say the game is awsome !!!

Anyway i'm getting 30 fps with all setings except AA on verry high, and a resolution of 1080. If arma 3 runs at 30 fps i should be ok with dayz, shouldn't i?

Cheers

In case this helps anyone, with this config i'm getting a average of 30 fps with all on very high. Please note : AA disabled, post process disabled, vsync disabled. Resolution 1080p, minimum fps i've got in big city's is 18 but just for couple of seconds.

Like mZLY said, get that 780 in there ASAP, because intergrated graphics are balls. Really balls. Just because the game needs a powerful CPU doesn't mean it relies solely on it. Intergrated graphics are poo when put under stressful programs.

i5 3570k Quad core 3.8GHz

That looks fine, should run at 30+ on high.

The CPU is a little on the slow side, and the GPU is quite old. Upgrading both of them would do you some good, but otherwise you won't be getting awesome FPS on decent settings.

Looks fine, but tbh if you wanted better frames you could up that 7790 to something stronger. 30+ on normal settings.
