dulix11 731 Posted June 24, 2013 Thinking about buying this: http://www.extremepc...roducts_id=6162Would I be able to run DayZ + most other games on high settings? If so, what sort of FPS (roughly) would I get in Cherno/Electro. ThanksThat will run DayZ fine 30+ on high settings, but it is a bit overpriced. 16GB of RAM is unecessary, I reccomend building a computer. But look around and see if you can find a cheaper one.I have a desktop with six gigs of ram and an amd athlon II x4 620 processor. If I get an EVGA Gforce 9500 gt will I be able to run Dayz on low settings with at least a playable 20 fps?I'd say <10 FPS. You'd need to upgrade your CPU and GPU to newer models.

Dyckman 26 Posted June 24, 2013 I got an idea, i'll post a spec everyone can get down with, even dayz. ok ladies and gents listen up to the ultimate computer you can buy but without busting a new hole in your wallet:).First i'll do an Intel setup for the Intel fans. These do not include HDD and or OS.Intel Extreme Motherboard 3 series and up, 32gig max or 64gigs max with the 7 series, either one is goodIntel I5/i7 quadcore/eightcore processors, doesn't matter, really its $$$ at this point, but as long as the cpu speed is over 3.1ghz, your goldenGtx-ge-force 4 series and UpIntel Solid State Drive 520/read/500write 60gb 120gb 180gb 280gb(again it's $$$ at that point)Thermal Lake Powersupply 700/850watts (your choice gold/bronze)CoolMaster Liquid cooling System (water pump)kingston Hyperx ddr3 2400 16GB (2X8) RAMNow for the AMD fansAsus Sabertooth 990FX 32gig/64gig (they make two models)AMD FX-8350 Vishera (4.0GHZ) EightCoreHIS Iceq Turbo Radeon HD 7850 2GBKingston HyperX 3K 120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State DriveThermal Lake 700/800Wat power supply(gold/Bronze)CoolMaster Liquid cooling System (water pump)kingston Hyperx ddr3 2400 16GB (2X8) RAMBuild anything anywhere near that and your so fing ready to play its not even funny!!!Some of you should really look at this, knowledge yourself around his/hers example.Right now in this date you should be on a :I5 3570kGTX 650 TI8 GB ramorAMD 6350 VisheraSapphire Radeon HD 77708 GB ramIf you want to game nicely and/or play Day Z You should invest in these things, go cheap and you'll be upgrading as time passes. You want to hit the right spot. My buddy built a build with just $ 550 and it did him justice, so all is possible.FYI - Wait it out a bit, pc components are never constant. Sometimes they'll be 50 dollars off sometimes they'll be regular. Aim high and wait for the low prices, summer sale soon. ;)

wasdAidan 0 Posted June 25, 2013 (edited) Well I've been looking to upgrade my PC for a while now. I currently have a Dell Inspiron 530s with an HD Radeon 5670 graphics card. I also have a Pentium Dual Core (2.50ghz) processor. I only have 2 gb of ram and my OS is Windows Vista.Needless to say, my computer isn't the best for gaming, but it does get the job done. My 5670 allows me to play some games like Left 4 Dead and PAYDAY: The Heist at 80-100 FPS easily. But it also gets low fps on a lot of newer games, and is difficult to play DayZ, being that I get 20 fps while running through the woods but in the cities I drop down to 5-10 fps.I'm 17 and just got a job this summer. Now that I'm saving up some money, and putting most of it aside for a car, I want to start getting some money together to get a better computer. My goal is to make a PC under $300.This is what I have found so far:Processor - AMD Athlon II X2 250 ($50)Motherboard - Asus M4N68T-M V2 Micro ATX AM3 Motherboard ($56)Ram - PNY 4 gigabytes DDR3 1333 ($22)Hard Drive - Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 Gigabyte 7200rpm ($59)Video Card - XFX Radeon HD 6670 1GB ($75)Case - Rosewill R218-P-BK-450w Case w/450W power supply ($50)Total: $296Thats an awesome price, don't you think? What are you're opinions? Will it be able to run DayZ easily? Edited June 25, 2013 by wasdAidan

Could invest into a better Mobo and/or an ssd just to make it faster for booting times.
