Vetrenarian offices

Recommended Posts

How about there is a veterinarian office in case your dog gets sick or injured, you could find a vet office scavenge for supplies, and heal your dog?

What do you think?

Good idea. Just to much depth in my eyes. Some medications of humans can be reduced for animals and children.

Don't forget about doggie daycares so you can drop your puppy off before you go out killing zombies.  *rolls eyes*

By law (at least in the United States) canned (and possibly bagged kibble) dog and cat food is required to be safe for human consumption to be sold in the US.  Sure you're getting the cheep ass cuts of meat (probably just one step bellow what you're getting at Taco Bell) but it's safe to eat.

You think that's bad, my brother bought some dried dog treats that was NOT fit for human consumption (and was printed right on the package in not so tiny letters) and was being sold as beef jerky, the clerk selling it didn't even know till he pointed out the label (packaging was extremely similar to Jerky normally sold ((think it was the same company)) )  And that was the 2nd to last bag on the shelf as well...*hands Lancer a Bucket*

Dude, tell me about it.  I use to love Taco Bell when I was younger.  But last time I went, something tasted really wrong in their beef.. like a cross between rotten eggs and fish.  *Shivers*

Surprised you survived...

I'm in Canada, our health standards are quite superior to those in the USA, so Taco Bell here is usually very fresh and the meat it well seasoned and lean. Then again it costs us a hell of a lot more to buy it...

Most medicine probably works similar for most mammals wouldn't it?

Likely, however other animals have different endocrine systems that respond differently which can be fatal depending on the type of medication and dosage.

ghzaz.gif?w=562i don't see point of this it has no sense what so ever. you can heal your dog very fell without this if you have right supplies.

edit: i reread it and now i see but still no there is no point having something like that

As a matter of fact you can find lots of human targetedmedicine in vet supplies. IVs, penicillin, a very wide range of antibiotics, cortizone, glucose/dextrose, surgery supplies, vitamins, bandages, stiches, you name it. Many vets use drugs for humans on domestic animals cause sometimes they work better than the equivalent animal "version".

The problem with DayZ is that there's such a focus on depth and particularities that there could be no end in sight, in terms of development and content.

Perhaps this is an example of where we should just settle for non-specific items... such as a splint for an animal's broken bone, or something as broadly named as 'Painkillers'.

I don't think that will happen. There comes a time when the devs time and interest in something runs out.

They're not going to be researching every type of drug currently available in Chernarus just because they have a weaker dog style morphine aswell as the usual auto injector.

They might even have three or so different high level pain killers that vary in time active and pain relief.

Maybe different antibiotics for resistant infections caught of other players that didn't have enough for a full course?

There's a limit that isn't visible, but its always there lying in the common sense.

Sorry, I've read this a couple of times and I still don't understand what you're saying. Can you rephrase it please?

Basically he's saying that, even if they were to be incredibly in-depth, they would probably still stop developing it sometime because they got bored or something. But if you look at EVE they have been continually developing that game for the past 10 years. And they aren't stopping. It would be amazing if DayZ got that type of support. Also look at TF2. They release new content for that game years after it originally released. Back on topic though, I feel like maybe they should get the dogs in the game before they worry about implementing a health care system for the dogs specifically.
