Dash, nobody would accuse u if U were to take a dayzesk idea to another developer and get them to implement it. This one is so well under way that it would simply implode with such a drastic change... which gives u this fantastic opportunity ;)

is warz anygood? im going to try It? if it had vehicles I think it would like it, maybe if i support them they will create dlc with vehicles.. anyway Im going to try warz and see what I think, I gave dayz a chance... or at least I think i was playing dayz, or an arma 2 mod that is suppose to be dayz but im pretty sure they added things in, I don't really know what dayz is because I don't think it even exists, just a bunch of different games that people call dayz.. oh and then we have dayz origins... lol so which one is dayz? oh the one that doesn't let you self bloodbag, or take tires off of cars, or refuel by pulling up to a gas station, yah I'll pass.

What you don't understand is Dean Hall has placed principle and his own creative vision far above profit. He wants to build the game he wants to see. His mod has already paid off handsomly for BI and they have given him the lattitude to develope the game his way. He is not interested in developing a game your way, my way or Trion's way.

Once it is built and if it is built well the rewards will follow. I can't say for sure but i would bet that even more that what coin he puts in his pocket his greatest sense of accomplisment will be ... I did it my way. That my friend is a kind of rich not many ever achieve.

Me that you have no clue what server architecture is or what it has to do with dayz. Also you don't seem to understand how game engines work. Now, I am no expert, and have no clue how engines work, but I think it is more difficult than cutting and pasting dayz into it as you suggest. Also all I have heard about defiance is that it is utter shit with crazy bugs and frequent crashes. Finally do you think that it is so easy as to walk into games studios and say "we want you artists" or "your engine" to make our game? No! They are going to tell you to gtfo. All around you seem very ignorant to how developing games works, and to how dayz is being developed. My advice? Speak when you are informed on the subject, or just shut up.

Thanks for not yarding this yet. Although I agree OP is most probably a troll I also know that his comments do represent to a lesser degree the sentiments of a portion of the player base, past and present.

Way back when Rocket first announced the plan to make a SA, it was not yet known, even by him, how or by what company the game would be made. I suggested the best move was sell the IP to the best possible developer. The idea of Rockstar making a straight up copycat of DayZ still makes my palms sweaty.

But I'm genuinely glad how everything's turned out. First, BIS has a great chance now to build themselves into a top tier developer using the success of DayZ and the exposure it's now given to Arma. And they don't have to sell out. The reason so many players are now flocking to these titles is because the product IS quality. I hope in twenty years there's a DayZ 6 and it is freaking awesome and perfect in every way. It seems too self evident to even go into why it is only right and proper that Bohemia has the chance to do that.
