l4c3r4tions 0 Posted May 21, 2013 I'd really love to see some waypoints for people that like to play in groups, maybe even in different colors per person to tell each other apart.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted May 21, 2013 Way too 'gamey' IMO, maybe you should just learn to communicate with your group better? Lol.

methr1k2dop3 323 Posted May 21, 2013 (edited) would be friggin sweet if you could find various color of clothing.maybe you and your buddies for instance could try to find blue camo outfits for all of you.or maybe colored arm bands. leviski 2152 Posted May 21, 2013 Yea no, we are trying to make the game more realistic\Now if you said "waypoints if we had a GPS" than I would be all for itBut other than that nowaypoints should only be enabled if one has a GPS

This is because the course of each satelite has to be adjusted regulary by the ground control center....
deathnote12311 1 Posted May 21, 2013 Yeah, that would destroy the point of DayZ but, there should be squad waypoints like in Planetside 2 where you can waypoint and, your whole squad can see the waypoint, so you don't need to constantly be shot down with your whole squad in a heli

Not HUD waypoints. The game shouldn't do any thinking for you.In keeping with the "authenticity" theme, if GPS is included and gives you waypoints, they should be wildly inaccurate. If satellites aren't synched, they're going to be pretty useless for navigation. (if they're even still there at all)EDIT:It'd be cool if GPS units were still a rare item, but 90% of the time you just get "No Signal", and the rest of the time it's only accurate within a couple of KM. leviski 2152 Posted May 21, 2013 For God's sake can anyone play the game alone for 30 minutes without needing friends? So true I have a retarded freind IRL who asnt played the game alone yetand when he brings up DayZ stories around the bonfire he always boats these big feats that he has done and how much of a seasoned player he is and im likeDude you have played for a total of 6 hours and never alone. GPS requires 4 satelites to work properly and around 24 satelites in orbit to work world wide...
Chaingunfighter 917 Posted May 22, 2013 I disagree with 'waypoints' themselves but something that you could identify eachother with would be cool, like certain colored clothing or painted weapons, that you'd have to find but it would make it easier to discern someone. In real life, you're not going to recognize someone else from 500+ meters without some identifier because there's no waypoint to them in reality.
