The Stand-Alone. When is it suspected to come out?

Hi I'm kind of new to the Dayz scene, in fact I've never played before. But I got a good understanding of the game and loooove the concept, I've been dying to play for weeks. But I can't decided if it's worth it as I have read that the stand alone is coming out soon. When is it expected to come out? I heard june 2013 but HMMMM. No Idea. Some advice please people, should I buy it ? It's only like 30 bucks right?

We don't know. It COULD be June, or later. The developer is climbing Everest (bad timing, but he's been planning it for years and can't postpone it), so when he gets back, they'll see if the game is ready for a release.

But seriously, look around the forums a little bit. All the information we know is on the forums either in the Announcements section (http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/forum/4-dayz-announcements/) or the information section (http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/forum/5-dayz-information/).

Look, June (or anyway suspected release) is fast approaching. Remember though the DayZ Standalone will be very much an alpha when it first releases. So my advice is to get it now (or wait for a juicy steam sale) to get a feel for the concept and general game stuffs. Anyway ArmA2 offers way more content than just DayZ (loooads of awesome community mods and maps etc.) so if you like a challenge you should get it anyway.

Edit: But as said above the SA could well be july or even august. Things are very fluid atm.

I don't think June was ever formally announced as a release date.In fact there has never been a set date.

I would be very surprised if anything appears that early.

Go ahead and get the mod.It's tons of entertainment value for the money.
