- remove the requirement to hold 'Shift" to boost in a car/motorbike. WTF is that nitrous injection? My fingers get sore.

I don't get that either... makes no sense, I have no idea what BIS was thinking.

Hmmm, actually, maybe it was a way for players with keyboards to moderate their speed instead of doing ALL ENGINES FULL AHEAD every time they pressed "W".

I also suspect "turbo" mode uses up more fuel but I haven't checked at all, just a gut feeling...

Crafting precision attachments like optics and other aiming devices is downright ridiculous. You need precision machine tools etc. to make these in real life. Just keep it to rare attachment finding and the need for a manual (make you search for two things, then).

You've got it wrong, you dont actually craft the attachment, you find an Aim scope then need other parts and a gun to complete the crafting process, this was changed a while ago.

And I am a bit sad, because I spend almost half a year on a forum that obviously is not the official site for DayZ. Could anybody tell me where to go for news and info on DayZ? Where are these news posted first? Reddit or something?

Ummm you can hear here first when the mod patch comes in because this is the official place for the mod. You must be blind not to see here in forums that this patch is coming.

Standalone is a different story because there isn't official site yet but his topic and that news is about mod.

Guns with attachments are still in, that was part of the crafting system which they are holding back to work on it some more.

* [NEW] - All blood gained from food is now added into a regenreation pool that players will regenerate over time

* [NEW] - Bloodbags will no longer transfer 12000 blood instantly, it's now done over 12 seconds (1000 blood per second). If the medic breaks away from the transfusion animation or the recipient moves out of range, the transfer stops and the remaining amount is lost along with the bloodbag in use.

* [uPDATED] - Zeds overall dmg has been updated per hit/per zed (Old Type: Max possible dmg = body 600, Legs 100, Hands 50, Head 1200 New Type: Body 1200, Head 2400)

* [uPDATED] - Bleed from zed attacks will now only happen if the initial dmg is above 0.7 or the zed gives a head shot. (should reduce the amount of bandages needed)

* [uPDATED] - Zeds knocking players unconscious now has a 50/50 chance if damage multiplier is above > 0.8

* [uPDATED] - When unconscious all damage is reduced to 50 blood for each hit zeds do no matter the part they hit. (Should allow some survivability)

* [uPDATED] - Zeds sight and sound chance has been re-added so there is a chance they can ignore you.

* [uPDATED] - Sight and sound rebalanced to make them a little more even from movement.

* [uPDATED] - Call extension calls for vehicle damage.

* [uPDATED] - Zeds will no longer spawn for air vehicles.

* [uPDATED] - AH6 & MH6 Cargo updated. (AH6 3 weapons, 30 slots and 2 backpacks) (MH6J 3 weapons, 20 slots and 3 backpacks)

* [uPDATED] - Fire Places will no longer act as storage systems.

* [uPDATED] - Fireplace can now only be lit once without adding new wood inside the fireplace.

* [uPDATED] - Fireplace can no longer be picked up after lighting.

* [uPDATED] - Vehicles speeds HMMWV, PBX and UAZ - Faster / ATV's - Slower

* [uPDATED] - Tanktraps, sandbags and razor-wires won't spawn in buildings. Tents will always spawn in a safe place.

* [uPDATED] - Up to +/-2000 Humanity gain/loss according to "humanKills" counter from killed character.

* [uPDATED] - Refuel now locks the player in place for the time to fill.

* [uPDATED] - More lootable buildings (Iron barn, car wrecks, several non enterable buildings...)

* [uPDATED] - 3 Chopper crash sites spawn on server start + 2-3 infected Camps.

* [uPDATED] - Sickness(Infection) can now cause death.

* [REMOVED] - M107 and AS50(Banned) from all loot tables and removed all damage from bullets so they do 0 damage even if spawned in.

So the bad new's we just found out all the guys dealing with steam updates are shipping out to E3 to get setup looks like we may have to delay again.

Matt's going to speak with the main steam techs and get back to us with info later today.

Soon as i know more info ill updated again :-(

Ill keep the testing servers up for the guys testing may as well.

Sorry guys it's as frustrating for us as it is for you.

No apology necessary R4ZOR49. Many of us understand the situation and appreciate all the hard work you and your team are doing to bring this out. You never promised it, and a lot of us don't expect it. E3 is incredibly important for the gaming industry and anyone who does not understand this delay should be more or less ignored. Let us know what you know whenever you can, and thanks for being forthcoming about the delay.

Steam update w00t? What Steam has to do with Arma 2 when we can do everything manually and Arma 2 isn't even full Steam supported? Otherwise can't wait but weird...

I am really excited for this update even without the crafting. There is a lot of neato changes and balancing issues that will make this update cool. Those journals look neat, I wonder, can you pick them up off of people?

why are the AS50/M107 removed? Atleast put a bolt action .50 in to replace them.

Why even bother going to E3? You're just going to show a buggy unfinished game to a load of press who will not care. Your fans are waiting for patches so I don't get why you'd prioritize the press over the fans?

Nope, the as50 and m107 are removed, razor has confirmed this, they are gone.

Not everyone used them to kill Noobs ( or fresh spawns to be more accurate). Helicopters were a favorite target of mine.

Why the hell you need to wait for steam when you have dayzcommander and withsix ?! Why frustrated at big part of the community by delaying the 1.7.7 (again) ? :facepalm:

I understand the amount of work that can be, but com'on ! I respect your work, and your team, but I seriously don't get why its such a big deal to don't have steam up to date in the same time as everything ? Is that commercial or marketing thing ?

All the player I know doesn't care about dayz on steam and didn't install it on this platform anyways.. :murder:
