Playing for first time after long break - how to increase blood?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've played. Before, I could eat any food and increase my blood. However, even after eating several cans of food, and a few pieces of bacon, my blood level appears unchanged. Apart from using a blood bag (which requires a friend - which I do not currently have) how does one increase blood?

Just kill a couple cows and eat the meat as per usual. Food was "nerfed".

So should bacon work? My blood levels look the same after a few pieces. Or is it just beef now?

Make a tent, scroll-wheel, and sleep.

You can't eat it all at once and get full blood anymore. You have to wait and eat again. Rabbit is very worth hunting when playing alone.

If you can eat it...then eat it.

?

Foods do varying amounts of heath, canned goods are less, and meats range from low, to high (i.e. Cooked Rabbitt = 800 I think) and I believe MRE's are 800. So you're best two options are MRE's, and Cooked Rabbit, but getting bloodbagged is always the best option.

I tried this on Namalsk. No change that I can tell.

You have to lay down (don't hit WSAD or anything) for quite a bit.

Canned food - 200 blood.

Cooked food - 800 blood.

As far as I'm aware, you will only gain blood from eating if you are hungry. If you're not hungry and you eat, you don't gain any blood. Can anyone confirm this?
