Realistic scopes view

Recommended Posts

(I used the search function with the words "Suggestion scopes" But i did not found anything. if a similiar thread already exists I apologize)

So, we all know how is the scope view in arma2, but i dont like it so much, i'd like to see a scope view more realistic. With the scope in the center of the screen, and a blurry environment around it.

Like the scopes in the red orchestra games.

I dont know if this thing is possible with arma 2 engine. but id love to do some sniping with that view ^^

(Sorry for my bad english)

I'd love that. It has been suggested, but it was disguised as a mega suggestion thread.

Hello there

We've been a hankerin' after these in A2 for years, If it's not in a3 then there's a good reason for it (ie the engine cannot support R2T/performance etc).

As many of you regulars know I'm a bit of a RO2 fan and would love these sights in game. I dont see it happening though.

I think I actually saw you in a Red Orchestra server once... it was unexpected.

But, I don't understand why this scope view isn't in ArmA 3, there is Picture in Picture when in vehicles.

I'm an unexpected type of fellow. Did you get to kill me? Most people do. I play RO2 most days.

As to PiP it's a hideous framerate eater (for me anyhoo)

Something like so would be decent

They'd have to get the eye relief and perspective right though, so it appears your eye is the correct distance away.

This would be something awesome in game! When I first played Arma 2 about a year and half ago I was a bit surprized such a game didnt have it. Even more so when I saw Arma 3.

Picture in picture more or less boil down to how much fps "headroom" you have left. You have to render the scene twice every frame: once for the PIP and a second time for the while screen, with the PIP texture applied.
