mrme 4 Posted April 10, 2013 Hey, i'v been playing DayZ for a bit and i'v noticed that guns that i'v got start twitching around and it makes it hard to shoot by aiming. Is there a solution to this problem? Thanks!
Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted April 10, 2013 You mean when you aim down the sights?Your character is exhausted.Lay in some grass for a while. Take a nap.
herrjon 478 Posted April 10, 2013 If it's very jerky twitching, you're in pain. You need painkillers. If it's a large aiming sway, you're out of breath. You need to lay down for a bit.
mrme 4 Posted April 10, 2013 Sometimes it does it when I spawn.
dulix11 731 Posted April 10, 2013 How long after you spawn? You could be cold, or out of breath from running, or you were in pain/exhausted when you left the server, and when you logged back in your still in the same state.
mrme 4 Posted April 27, 2013 No, I must of been running for a bit just after I spawn. Thanks for your help, I really need to learn more about DayZ. I'm new to it :3
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted April 27, 2013 Never give up! Learning's the fun part. In fact you never really stop learning.
Inception. 9443 Posted April 27, 2013 I wish I was new to the game like you. I miss those days.
dallas 5195 Posted April 27, 2013 Does it happen when you press your right mouse button to zoom in on your sights?Hold breath is also tied to the same action, so if you aim, zoomed in for more than two seconds, your hands start shaking. I recommend you untie "hold breath" from mb2 and rebind it to another key. I only use hold breath if I'm sniping on longer distances.

Clicking it doesn't do anything but aim down the sight. So to be extra steady, you click RMB and then click it in again and hold it to hold your breath. Just clicking RMB will make you aim down your sight. There's no need to change the controls. Edited April 27, 2013 by IonicPaul
-Gews- 7443 Posted April 27, 2013 There's no need to change the controls.Ah, but you also have to hold RMB to zoom in while looking around, which I do extremely frequently... apparently it still holds your breath even if you aren't looking down your sights. I bound hold breath to the spacebar (if I'm holding my breath, I'm probably not going to be on the move). It's worked for me so far.Frederf says: "Asphyxiating yourself just to scan your surroundings in a close to 1:1 FOV environment is beyond moronic."

Saethkept 134 Posted April 27, 2013 If you have a heatpack in your inventory when you log in ... use it. I sometimes think I was adrift for hours in the Baltic before coming ashore. By the way, when are you dev guys going to implement the positive temperature effect from being inside a building?
apollochaos 4 Posted April 27, 2013 I get an issue myself from time to time where whilst zooming in, I get horrid FPS stutters. Not real sure what the cause is. Any ideas fellas?
