i meant, like, they INSTINCTIVELY continue to clutch what ever was in there hands when they where infected, like a rifle or wiskey bottle or purse, and then beat the crap out of you with it

Its plausible, but do you think a human would keep holding an item when beaten to death by infected?

I mean everybody was pretty much beaten to "death" by the infected in a very vicious way.

Don't think the Zed's motor-skills are functioning well enough to properly and accurately fire a gun at you. But the weapons/objects they were using/holding right before they died I guess could be used as a club or something.
