How do you fight players in CQC?

I once put 2 satchel charges in a firestation for lols. I set the timers for 30 seconds each, then heard gunfire. I ran away out of fear, as I was unarmed (yes, I had 2 bombs but didn't find any guns. go figure)

I usually try to run or flank them and then shoot, but then again there are so many different cqc factors which contribute to my choice, what type of weapon do they / I have, where I am located, if I/they have people with them.

More often than not when i get shot at it is from someone unseen (i generally avoid players i see) so my general tactic is to do the 'classic' run away in random zig zags until i find cover.

Sometimes they will then try and find you, giving you the advantage if you see them coming. Grenades are also very handy.

And the server he plays on is purely PvP server which had squads rolling around a lot, and lot of fights, now it has gotten dead tho :(

1: It's a waist if you put too many bullets into someone, or more than is required. For most primary guns, 1 or 2 bullets = a kill, or at least a knockout, and the only sidearm that can fire full-auto (PDW) isn't excpetionally accurate.

I hate CQC because I get low frames. If I get shot at from close by, I empty half a magazine in their general direction and then sprint to the nearest cover. I usually run around buildings or try to pop out from unexpected places, kill someone and run to a different place. If they seem to be alone I'll tend to wait more, if they're rolling in a group I keep moving.

1st off never combat log (combat logging is for total dicks)

2nd never go prone when confronted in a close range firefight (easy head shot)

3rd run as fast as possible to cover (serpentining usually is the best way to go)

4th do anything to drop them if they have a gun better than yours if not keep running its not worth it (flank, cover, etc...)

Well since I am most of the time securing out elektro for bambies and stalking snipers, sometimes it comes to many kills. Today I killed 2 snipers, But totally had to kill 5 people even though I really didnt want to. Nothing to mention about those scumbag snipers that were killing bambies, but the first two innocent guys I killed were aiming at me while I was covering behind a tree. Was trying to talk them over direct chat, they didnt answer me at all. So no other option was left. Even though they just came up the hill from the same reason as I did: to eliminate the sniper. After I killed the second sniper, decided to fall back when suddenly a guy with mk mod lays down right in front of me 5 meters away, so that was simply the same situation as the first one: kill or be killed. I also had the bandit mask cause of those kills before, so there was no way he wouldnt start shooting at me. Its kind of sad when u just want to help bambies, but have to kill more people cause of being threated (?).

atleast those snipers didnt combat logged, so maybe the faith in dayz players will be restored.

I've got atleast one smoke and one M67 in my bag at all times, except now, because I threw the M67 at a bandit to make him log out because I didn't wanna waste ammo.

Yeah, but M67s don't have a built in safety feature like the M203s, so you're less likely to not have it go off.

I like hit - run - hit guerilla warfare tactics with an AK or AKM etc.

ie if I see someone, I wll get within 50m of them, shoot them once or twice on semi, and run away behind concealment, give them a few seconds then run back and finish them, they are normally bandaging at this point which makes it an easy kill.

But I prefer 3-400m kills with an m16 acog or better yet an m14 red dot.
