Dayz Map testing

Recommended Posts

If anyone is interested. I have been working on a mapping engine that allows customizing your own Chernarus map. I currently have a website called multiplottr.

It plots multiple locations on a map. I had to revamp and restyle my old site because the google maps api i had been using was VERY old.

So now I am working on its update, and I am enabling custom maps.

One of the custom maps that I added was Chernarus. For those that are interested in having your own private map. Please check out this link

http://onlinecustomm...ayz/tilecutter/

and give me feedback on the usability of the map.

I know of some issues now, but I wanted to open this up to the dayz community and see if this is a tool you guys could use.

You currently cant register on the site, but thats ok - because the map that you are working on is only saved in your browser - so you could say its awesomely secure, and awesomely hard to share.

Not impossible. The thing is, i havent written up any instructions on how to use my system. So you gotta figure it out. But let me know what you think and if you can use it. I will make it part of Multiplottr when it comes out in the next few months.

Nice - much better than a standard loot map - you just make your own as you play.

Different kinds of markers and variable sizes would be nice but i realise it is early days yet.

Good job

You can use customized markers - like the ones from http://mapicons.nicolasmollet.com/ - you just need to host them yourself. You can do this by putting them in your Dropbox share drive.
