Admin Abuse is becoming a large problem.

Lots of servers I join have highly- and I mean highly- abusive admins. One even ADMITTED over side chat he spawns in guns (including DMRs) for himself because 'he paid for the server, so he can do whatever the fuck he wants'. Though he says he doesn't kill players with it, it still means he has a gun he spawned in using his powers which he can use in PVP, if someone were to attack him.

Abusive admins are more common than hackers, since they're usually out in the open about it. They don't necessarily hide their actions, they just tell people they can do what they want.

This is a problem, as, if a normal player were to kill an abusive admin or owner, that player will probably spend the rest of the day dealing with that butthurt admin or owner using the control panel to track him down and kill him with some freshly spawned firearms.

The difference being that admins seldom change, so if you find a nice server with a good set; STICK WITH IT. Personally I love the admins at Balota Buddy.

It might help to know that Admin Abuse is nearly non existent on our server, as well... Our admins dont play the game. We have a dedicated team of admins that take the job as it was meant to be- a job. They do not spend their time looting, but merely sifting through the logs and so on.

Personally, as long as the load of BBCode derpage is cleaned up, I think it's fine. People have the right to spread the word about their servers, and he is at least taking the time to say something relevant to the thread.

I've been somewhat lucky, I've only been in a couple servers where I suspected admins of abuse.

The only ArmA/DayZ server I've been in where admins were freely admitting to abuse was "Ultimate-RP Cherno Wasteland #1". Chatting in the Teamspeak about spawning in Scud launchers, teleporting their friends around and generally ruining the game for everyone else. Quit that directly after...

US 264 admins definitely use hacks to "admin" their servers through esp, teleporting, and gear spawning, while pretending to be the authority and banning anyone with names they dont like, or anyone who uses side chat.

Y'know how to deal with them? A) Join a secured public hive B) Join a Whitelist Server ( Usually more mature ) C) Server Hop saying 'Admins a Dick'. If you're not kicked and/or banned, you'll be good.

I remember in a private when they were practically new, I go in the apartments of Cherno. Before I knew it someone was right behind it. I scream in direct, "I am friendly I won't hurt you!" Then the server shut down. Not only did the host leave, but he combat logged in a non combat scenario. Or when Taviana was new, in the middle of the town square there were like 10 apaches, if you weren't admin or friend of admin, you would get kicked or banned. They would get in the choppers and fly around looking for anyone playing the game. They would either shoot you in a hellfire, or land and pick you off with a overpowered weapon. I thought bandits were scum, these guys are the epitome of the word.

I remember playing on a new server, server admin flew to me and gave me a lift in a chopper to my friend, since there weren't that many of us in the server, he was having troubles getting vehicles working AND my friend and I had spawned at basically opposite sides of the map. I guess he did it since I would have a car at that point as I was at a spawn for one, but none were spawning anywhere on a server that's had 7 or 8 players total.

We don't, spawn in stuff, check for camps other than with a heli or ban unless your cheating :)
