I and a friend of mine found a working humvee on Krutoy Cap. We captured it as quick as we could and headed somewhere in the middle of map. At the first right turn, at village called Kamyshowo, while passing by barricades, I saw someone by treeline approaching us. He was crawling with something in his hands. I was afraid that was some kind of AK or even a sniper rifle, which could cost us a tire, or even life. I told my friend to get out and get rid of him, while he's behind building, so I can try to make my way out of the city. He got out, I drove my way out of the city, and after a few seconds, I heard gunfire. I came back for my friend just to realize that our stalker had nothing but flashlight in hands. He must have spawned few minutes ago. Not a good start I guess.

I was in Stary and entered the long barn from the southern side. As soon as I entered another guy with a Lee Enfield entered the barn from the northern side. I would've liked to make friends but at that situation it was kinda hard because it was like a standoff from a western movie; we were both in an equal situation and there was no running from it and he probably wouldn't have been able to hear me from that distance. He tried to take cover and aimed at me and I decided that his intentions aren't good. I had to shoot the poor bastard with my M14 AIM and I wasted like 5 shots because it was so tense. It didn't feel like worth it because I became a bandit for killing the guy and he didn't really have any loot at all. I haven't double-crossed anyone so this is the worst I've done lol.

I met up with a friendly group of 4 who have me a weapon and supplies.. I decided to stick with them for awhile. Later my buddies and I wanted to take everything for ourselves. Lead them straight into an ambush in the middle of a field... It was a bloody slaughter. Their ghosts still haunt me.

I'm new and havent killed anyone directly in cold blood, not my style yet but i've had very limited contact with other hummies for whatever reason. Anyway last night i spawn new near Kamenka, its pitch black dark and i head into town to try and get some essentials. All i bag is a crowbar and im trying to sneak along when i aggro a zed, at the time i had the crowbar in my toolbelt so i just ran and needless to say i ended up being tailed by a group of zeds.

i ran along the road out of town with the zeds hot on my tail when i see what looks like a flashlight on the road, at first i thought it was the graphics glitching but no it was a flashlight, i decided to run over to him in desperation hoping he might be armed, so there i am running circles around this guy, with zeds chasing while he frantically flashes his tourch around trying to see wtf is going on.

In the end he runs, i follow, and the zeds follow me. I end up hiding in a bush and he ends up prone at the roadside still with his flashlight on, i suspect he got crippled. I drew my crowbar and direct chatted asking if he had a weapon, he replied that he had a hunting knife! :huh:

He ended up getting mauled and i manged to kill the 4-5 zeds that were there with many a swing of the crowbar.....as i looted his body in the darkness i kinda felt bad, he was obviously very new (hunting knife comment, flashlight all over the show) and i had gotten him killed. I felt sorry for him but then as the saying goes......rather him than me ;) maybe not so ashamed but thought i'd share in the absence of cold blooded murder so far.

In my first 10 minutes playing I ran into someone in a supermarket, I panicked and said friendly over the mic, I then shot the man with a pistol. I felt so bad about it that I actually clicked respawn. Haven't had to kill someone since.

Eventually I heard some guys talking in direct chat nearby. They were swimming in the water, talking about how great this mod was. They talked about how awesome the Enfield was, how it is the greatest gun in the game (Which i of course is). Said how they were looking forward to getting some real guns, said the only gun they ever had was an Enfield. With my Ghillie suit, I was lying on the ground as they passed me. I got up, shot them both in the back. No thoughts went into this, I just did it. One of them actually turned around, asking me why I killed his friend. Worst thing was...

that was sad, today i killed someone trying to help a noob and then remembering my story, i saw the noob cower in a corner with his hatchet and i knew i then i was a monster and shot him walked up to his screaming body and pulled my revolver out.......

Ok on the server i play on, i was guarding 3 heli spawns 2 were broken and one had been flown in it was early morning and server was peaking the whole server calls me a bandit because i killed anyone who came near the helis, i told them this(Note the only thing i did take was a guys NATO rounds which was from another sniper trying to kill me from the west hill so really it wasnt for their gear it was to protect mine)

1. when defending my gear i am a bandit,

2. these players were armed with medium and even rare weapons

3. a main point of days is to kill its the fun of it.

i could of let them go but im sure if they see a ghillie with an as50 waslking theyd take a shot no doubt

[The Wasteland Justicar 3]

During one of my first times playing, I was prone on the floor of a garage while scrounging for any kind of basics, newspawned. Turns out, another guy had crawled into the same garage and we didn't notice each other. I freaked out immediately, having heard the majority of DayZ players are blood thirsty devilspawn, and I shot him. Several times. This was before I fully understood being conservative. But he died all the same. And I felt bad. Dude didn't even try to fight back. He was minding his own business. Since then, I've gone out of my way to extend an olive branch to everyone I meet.

The worst thing ANYBODY has ever done in DayZ:

I was at a fresh spawn near Elektro I had found a makarov after about ten mintues of looting, after a while I got bored and ran into a forrest. I then came across a small barn, and being the scavenger I am; I went in. Long tory short I found a hatchet.

My adventure continued on for about 3 hours about I had managed to find a PDW and a Alice Backpack. I later went to Cherno and spotted a player (Unarmed) running from a GIANT horde of zombies. He looked a bit sad in my opinion. So I followed him. After a while the zombies got off him, and then I made my move. {Note; at this time I had never been a bandit nor had a bandit skin}. I was feeling a little angry today so I snuck up behind him. He was looting a campin' tent. I broke his legs with the hatchet and stood over him while he bled out. He begged in side chat (Text) for me not to kill him and save him. I feel like crying now. I told him to put all his stuff in his backpack so I could carry it and get him some morphine (Does not make sense I know). And I'm not sure but he was probably a new player so he did. I took all the stuff from his backpack. I ran away from him telling him I could be back with morphine {Lie} (Note I did not bandage him). So I took all his stuff and left him there to die. Then I thought hey just end his misery. So I went back to him and another player had come to him (No joke). So I guess he asked in side chat for help. I sat in the bushes while he was healed and blood transfusioned. I pulled out my makarov and killed the healer of the poor soul. He looked over and me and started to walk away (I guess he didn't know how to run). So I ran to him and broke his legs again. This time he was Begging for me to not kill him. I satanicly decided to heal him then hurt him again (For the lulz). So I gave him morphine and healed him then gave him blood. He asked if he could have a weapon. I whacked him in the legs breaking it and ran away (I left him).

There are many ways you can campare parts of Sweet Apple Massacre to this story.

the other day I was riding my bike though Mogilevka when some poor guy ran across the road in front of me being chased by >20 zombies, so I thought it would be funny to ride past ringing my bell whilst telling him over direct chat how screwed he was!

When I actually thought about how screwed he was, I thought maybe it would be better to save him, so I lured the zeds away on my bike allowing the guy to escape! he later asked if I had any antibiotics, to which I said yes, we met up just outside town and I gave him some antibiotics.

'...what are you ashamed of, you're a hero!' I hear you cry, well, I realised I was trekking across to Novy Sobor to save some bambi with a broken leg, when I got there, he was whining so much about why I stopped to save this other guy (damn side chat!). so I fixed him up, but he then proceeded to ask me if I had any STANAG rounds he could have? (what cheek!)

...so I gave him four, right in the face! :)

died later and he found me in Cherno, he was pissed to say the least, so yeah I regretted it later! (felt like the right thing to do at the time though!

I usually do not kill nor shoot on sight. This day was diffrent though. I just spawned in at the north east coach not far from Berenzino. I quickly gather the essential loot like waterbottle, hunting knife, matches, map etc. and I am lucky enogh to get a primary loot. A einfield with 10rnd.

I hear a heli in the distance west of Berenzino and I decide too check it out. When I move close, arond 300m from the heli I notice three things:

1)The heli is a little bird with one guy.

2) The bird is just hovering above the ground.

3)There is another bird parked only 20-30m from the hovering heli.

So I decide to take the guy out. I knew that his heli would be destroyed but then I could proceed to the other bird without worry. I hit him perfectly with one shoot and the bird fell to the ground.

I felt bad about it when I realised through sidechat that thia guy found the helis random, it was his first find, and he was just going to pick up his friend. Too bad.

After watching the town for about an hour and seeing no signs of life I suddenly spotted an axe wielding survior on top of one of the apartment blocks. Boredom got the better of me so as the survivor started to climb down the roof ladder I fired a shot from my dmr.

Player xxxx was killed, Ooops i really wasnt expecting to hit him and I immediately didnt feel proud about what I had done, this shame however was countered 5 seconds later by an immense sense of pride as it was a 500m+ headshot. :D

Sitting outside Stary Sober. There was actually a car next to the white fake car. So I scope it out. 2 bodies already there, car parts on both of them. So I retreat to the hill behind it and wait. Over the next hour or so, 2 more people periodically came up and fixed the car. I had a DMR so they were easy kills.

The difficult part came in when i tried to take the car. 1 guy came into town who knew what was going down. He used every piece of cover in the town and damn near circled the entire area before he made a go for the repaired car. Killing tards who rush a car on sight teaches them a valuable lesson, but sniping the guy who spent 15 minutes checking the town felt kinda bad...but free fixed car for me :D

Put an offroad next to a barracks, then watch and kill every single person that goes into the barracks and attempt to board the car with my M107

30 minutes later and there were loots everywhere on the ground in a 5m radius next to the car. Felt kind of guilty as I tricked and abused them to farm the loots for me though. (even though I missed a few that battlelog'ed - but later they got permabanned haha)

I was trying to fix a van near the factory, at the gas station on the coast. I had everything I needed axcept the engine. When I came back with an engine I saw someone at the van and it looked like all the tires were fixed. I wanted the van but I didn't want to kill the guy. He only had a hatchet anyway. So I shot him once with my enfield and he ran off.

I checked the van and it was fully repaired, except for the right rear wheel and it had almost no fuel. I had a tire so I went to fix it. However, I accidentally fixed the wrong tire. Cursing myself I set of to the factory to get a new one, hoping one was there. As I was on my way I noticed a survivor with a winchester. Not wanting to kill him I lay down in the grass behind a bush. I knew he hadn't seen me but he was walking straight toward my position. Not wanting to risk losing the van I got up and shot him in cold blood. I went over to his corpse to see if he had some food as I had very little of it.

Then ouf of nowhere came the survivor with the hatchet I winged earlier. It was obvious he wanted to kill me. I noticed him just in time so I sprinted away with him on my tail. The fire rate on the enfield is awful and he was zigzagging all over the place so we were running like this for some time. Then I managed to finally shot him and I hit him in the legs. I heard the satisfying crack of bones breaking and walked over to him and finished him off.

I checked his gear and to my suprise he had a tire. I went back to the van, fixed it, fueled it up and drove off.

So the guy with the hatchet could have just fixed the van and drove off but he wanted revenge and it got him killed. I felt bad for killing them, especially the guy with the winchester. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Neither of those kills were in cold blood, you were comprmised in some way.

I once held up a pair of snipers on top of the Cherno Industrial complex. I told the one who actually shot at me (the other only had a M16 and I heard DMR rounds pinging) to jump and I would spare his friend. He jumped. I shot the friend in the head with a pistol.
