I'm currently installing everything, but would like people to play with as none of my friends have dayz.

Find a really good private hive server and save yourself a ton of irritation. I'm not going to tell you who's sig to look at to find this place but it has Bill Murray in it.

All though Balota Buddies are extremely good servers you should check out the Billy Mays Rembrance

Foundation servers. They are always filled and rarely deal with hackers. The only hassle is that you have to get whitelisted. It takes about 1 hour max. Check em out here www.bmrf.me
