I think friendly fire should be an option on servers. sometimes me and my teammates miscommunicate and the next thing you know, they are lying on the floor dead. It would be a lot easier for everyone if this was an option.

No thanks, there are so few servers that want no friendly fire at all. It seems like a waste of time to implement, and I wouldn't want the server option encouraging more servers to use it.

Friendly fire is part of the game, like it or not. The way to avoid this is proper communication, and even then it can be inevitable. This game is meant to be brutal and unforgiving.

The option is ... play a game that does not allow friendly fire. You put in options like that and you are no longer playing DayZ

Here are some options you can try that are in the spirit of DayZ

1. planning and practice will cut down your mistakes

2. If you are unsure of your target, don't pull the trigger.

3. accept that shit happens

I have to agree with the rest of these guys and say that Friendly Fire is a no go for DayZ. DayZ is entirely a mod that has a purpose of surviving. You'll encounter things that simulate realism. It's like saying because I'm your friend in real life, means I can't hurt you? That being said, it wouldn't be good if it was even optional.. Leave it for Arma 2's multiplayer that actually have teams.

Friendly Fire is always optional. As it is IRL.

Most people just choose NOT to shoot their own team. :thumbsup:

EDIT: SA will have more clothing customisation too, so just get every one of your pals a Hi-Vis vest.

No more excuses.

If you still keep shooting your own guys, someone should take your guns off you.

You can be the pack mule instead.

Seen people wanting this before, only reason they want it is if them and a bud get cornered by zeds is you spray and pray with no friendlies killed. Learn to not agro zeds, learn to aim, basicly, LEARN TO PLAY THE F*CKING GAME!!
