Anything can be misconstrued when out of context. Besides, there is context, it was a reply to the first post (Which was the only post prior to mine).

Besides, even if it was somehow harsh, that doesn't mean it's offensive, especially considering to was in reply to someone else entirely

Firearms should be valuable and hard to come by, that's why the starting pistol was taken away. Because DayZ is a survival game, not Counter Strike on a larger map.

Nope, it looks much more like Moldova, or maybe Crimea. According to legend, Chernarus is a post-Soviet country, hence Russian names (some of them sound Slavic enough, but not Russian and not Czech though).

that part of the world just has a damp,wet, dull colored feeling to it. I get a very pripyat/chernobyl feeling in vorkuta(. I'm surprised there are still people who live a normal life in Russia these days to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to hear russia has been attacked by zombies.

And the answer is because most people that play these things are American. I'm not saying it has to be America, but if you've ever seen heat maps for COD or Halo the vast majority of players are in the US. Therefore game and movie companies pander to their largest segment of customers.

COD and Halo are made by American companies for an American audience. Arma/Dayz is made/being made by a Czech company and is not a mainstream game. Demanding that products made in other countries should be changed/localized for the American consumer is just the usual cultural imperialism and we can do without that this time.

Someone (not me) should set up a dueling server to sort out disagreements that have gone askew. The server would have two slots open and the players would spawn with matchlock pistols and silly hats about 20 paces apart.

The umpire counts down and 'Bam!', argument settled.

I think this could be a great help in the cheat/server report forums as well.
