DayZ Historical Time Periods

Yawn......am bored once more at work. Been playing DayZ 2017 lately, got me thinking.

Tell me, anyone....if it could be done (don't worry about the hows and the whys) where and when do you think and interesting and fun DayZ could be based? What year and where?

Assuming that only weaponry, food and equipment of the times could be used, what historical time period and location would you like to play in?

Still a zombie apocalypse remember, the only changes would be location and items.

WW2 sounds cool. Fighting off zombies in a classy 40's suit with a Thompson SMG.

Personally I think an 1800's American western venue would be quite interesting.

Dev topic : to start id have to say location would be the entire united states plauged with this infection during sum what modern day times mybe 2020 alil ahead i kno but bare this what if this was all happening ,where in a war with god knows who this time ..lol .and the u.s.a is still in this horrible money crisis our troops are spread far apart and weaponary would be scarce even tho military may be suited with firepower the united states took a new approach with the weapons law since the horrible rise of gun violence and innocent murders trippling in the years.americans saw fewer and fewer gun stores and the rise of migration from the other countrys those who found refuge from the plauge in russian went to america and were considered safe (28 weeks later =) ehh ) blammm all hell breaks loose babys are eating dogs cats are flippin out like theres kattnipp in the air. horrific sites of death and there our players storey begins :thumbsup: :beans:

Yeah, i thought about other eras but i still think i would like to have a gun. I don't know how much fun it would be if the best weapon was a bow and arrow and the best vehicle a chariot.

WW2 - sitting in the middle of the Channel in my battlewagon playing plink the zed with my 14" guns.

WW1 - Bayonet charges across no mans land into the hungry undead hun with a bunch of trench footed drunken mates

ooooor..sometime in the trippy early 70's, moderately zapped out on acid with some free lovin' babes , listening to a mix of Hendrix , the doors and zep covered in flowers, honey and licking vegemite off their toes when the apocalypse begins, throw the ugliest of the two chicks at the zeds as they come through the door then run with the other one to find a Vdub (nonstep) some pitchforks and a bucket of weed..head for the hills with a pile of eight tracks and a smile on me dial.

Fist World War era would be cool, tear-arsing around in Bugati's and Bently's while Tiger Moths drop hand bombs and duel above, with your Thompson sub in your hand and a monster turreted tank on the ridge while the Mustard gas gently rolls in obscuring your tunneled gas mask vision keeping you on your toes.

I like Dayz as it is in "our" lifetime. I wouldn't like in future or past.
