donakowski1@gmail.com 41 Posted January 13, 2013 I was just playing on a Dark World DayZ - US server, and as I spawned in near the west factories of Electro I had a hatchet and some food/drink. Not knowing Electro to well I put the Ocean on my right and headed into the city. There weren't too many players on the sever, 9-10 at most. But I could hear shots constantly being fired in the city. Not having too much to lose I made my way into the fire station, and was pleasantly surprised to find it unlooted. I found myself an AK-74 Kobra instantly. Score.As I finished checking the other levels of the station, not finding much I headed back down into the main room and out the back door. I heard nothing but the sound of flies, and as I turned to my left I saw a body. Rushing to it, it was loaded. ALICE Pack, NVGs, Binos, some more food and drink, map, the basic essentials for DayZ survival.Then I found this…a Bizon PP- 19 SD. Now I have been playing for a few months now but have yet to come across this weapon. I snagged it off his body along with the STANAG mag and took off north into the woods. Then I found out that this weapon doesn't take STANAG mags, it takes its own Bizon mags. So my question is, was the switch off of my Kobra to the Bizon a good choice, and where do I find ammo for this weapon?And whoever's body that was at the base of the ladder at the Electro Fire Station, thank you. kingflip 42 Posted January 13, 2013 Well it depends really, if you want firepower. Then tossing the ak was a bad move, if you want to be subtle then the bizon might be better, but understand. Angryofficer 89 Posted January 13, 2013 Should've kept one in your pack. The bizon is really quite good, zero recoil, nice sights, could probably headshot someone 200 meters away on fullauto. Jonsse 69 Posted January 13, 2013 The Bizon is a silenced submachine gun. It fires 9mm rounds like the pistols. It's appeal is the silencer and large magazine, but that's about it. Clips are very rare, and damage is the same as the 9mm pistols; Makarov, G17, M9.If you don't have magazines for it, it's virtually useless. The mags you need for it can be found in helicrash sites and those sites generally have significantly better weapons available. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
arkaeldren 53 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) If your on a low pop server, and looking to do looting in heavy Zed areas, then this is a great weapon. Head shots are easy, with the sights on this weapon combat sighted, its easy to keep the targets head in clear view. With 64 rounds per clip, set it on semi and you have one of the best guns in fore mentioned supply runs. But I would never take it along with out a backup, in case of PvP hungry bandits. Especially when you have no ammo for it. I'd recommend you check deerstands and barns until you get something decent, like a cz 550, enfield, or maybe get lucky at a deerstand and get a decent assault rifle. Then, you could put the bizon in your pack and go hunting for heli sites for ammo or another gun, and if you don't have space in your pack, just drop it and check stary or nwaf.Protip: If you grab a weapon, all the mags that you can carry without dropping other items will come with it.
