You won't be able to preorder at any point. Rocket has explicitly stated that he will not take any money from customers until the game is released.

the last game i raged for was war z, they did a mail with apologize at least, and devs team still talk with community, going to rage very hard if we cant have any information bout the game!

Mate as much as I am not happy with no Anouncment at not making the Deadline Rocket Set ( NO I DONT WANT A RELEASE DATE for the Kiddies ) Dont even remotely compare the Shambles and iminent death of WARZ, Rocket up until now has kept us all regularly informed on Redit, Twitter, Interviews, Facebook and here. If you got sucked up in the Dribble that was The War Z I feel sorry for you. I told everyone I know to keep away from it as its a Mod for a failed free game they had call War Inc, Sergei's passed history is something to distance yourself from, anyone remember Big Rigs..thats one of his . Any way I've given that steaming mess wayy too much time.

So my point being they will explain all very soon, I have no doubt

We're all in the same boat, we all want to play the standalone as soon as possible. Thanks to most of you for being patient and understanding. Like most of you, I've never come across Rocket but I read his posts and understand he and the team are working their backsides off. The truth is I'm happy to wait because I'd rather have a game that works than one that's been rushed out for an impossible deadline. I don't expect any game to be glitch free but honestly, I'd rather not fall through any more roofs. :thumbsup: :beans:

I am also looking forward to seeing what kind of gore design will follow once the main design of the world is finished. Thinks like body remains, skeletons, blood splatters, grafitti notes, etc are very key to atmosphere. Right now its limited with the mod but there are numerous little things if you take the time to look that do you remind you such as destroyed cars, body piles, body bags, shattered windows, graves, and bodies.

We aren't customers yet. We all feel your frustration, I think over the last few pages it's pretty clear to see that all is needed is an update from a dev.

Nobody knows, hence the frustration in this thread. It's very out of character for the devs to be this quiet, they have a great track record of communication since DayZ was first made. All we can really do is chill-out and wait.

People now days are pretty cynical about game development (rightly so), all we can do is look at the facts and make our own judgements, many will claim the delay is a scheme to maximise Arma2 sales on Steam others will be patient.

Once the SA is released, whenever that is, all of this will be long forgotten.

Also from Rocket 2 weeks ago, don't forget that when he returned to NZ for Xmas it was the first time he'd been home in over a year:

TBH all this complaining about the delay and all that bullshit is bullshit. The people complaining about delay and lack of information will be the first people to say that the game lacks 'whatever' in certain areas. I don't care if the SA doesn't come out til mid 2013 as long as the know they got all the potential they could out the game and couldn't make it better. Don't you people have life's or work or education or some other bullshit to worry about rather than complain about the SA.

I'm not assuming, it's there to read that people are complaining and I can guarantee that people will complain about the game and it will be the same people that complains on here, Ive seen it happen before and it will again.

Like many, I don't mind waiting for a game that I expect to be amazing. The only downside is I was wrongfully globally banned from Arma 2 and Battleye support won't reply. I can't even play the mod.
