Stupidest people you have encountered in DayZ

There are alot of idiots in this game, so tell me some storys. I have a story: One time when i was with my friend in elektro i split up for a minute for me to find a wheel, so i go into the fire station in the city and im in there when i see a idiot with a hatchet crouched btw i had a winchester 1887 and then he tried to get me from like a meter away, so then i knew he was hostile so i shot him and killed him instantly.

I was flying just a bit north of Stary earlier tonight when I started taking fire from an AS50 and a DMR. So I landed at stary about 100m away from a custom checkpoint that is on the server I play on.

I ran to the bunker and hid. After about five minutes two guys, one with a DMR and one with an AS50 coming running up and jumped in the chopper. I shot the pilot and then the passenger as soon as he got out.

I decided to stay there and use the chopper as bait. After another 10 or so minutes another chopper comes flying in, lands, and the gunner gets out and runs to the bait chopper. I shoot him in the face. Now, the other chopper, instead of leaving, decides to hover, about 5m off the ground, over the area where his friend just got shot with an AS50. I waited until I had a clear shot on him and took him out. I now have two bait choppers. Ended up killing 7 guys all together, even though the side chat was filled with warnings to stay away from the Choppers at Stary.

All of the people I killed were heavily armed. I don't kill beach bambi's.

Some guy was running away from zombies but had his legs broken. I started killing off the zombies with a silenced weapon, ran up to him, told him not to move so I could fix his legs and he could be on his way, and what does he do? Open my backpack and pull out my AS50 in attempt to kill me. (But I'm clever enough to keep all my magazines in my inventory/pockets, so he had no ammo whatsoever.)

Wasted a perfectly good Morphine for a corpse.

I haven't met many incredibly stupid people, but I've made plenty of stupid mistakes myself. Last week I died like 4 times in quick succession in one night (when I normally last days on one life). Started off with me checking out Stary (alone), seeing there weren't many people on the server, and then going "I'm sure I'm alone". Started looting, and second tent in I got shot in the back. From there I got killed twice by "friendly" survivors who claimed they hailed me but I didn't stop... one of them was a guy in a church, but as it was getting dark I mistook him for a strangely spawned zombie and ran in with my hatchet and a few other zombies in tow just to get put down by an AK.

Fun side note: later I heard people in side chat talking about how all voice chat was disabled on that server. Not sure if you can actually do that, but if so it adds hilarity to the situation of people who thought I was intentionally ignoring their warnings.

Oh god. This thread again. People always love this story. Actually....I haven't told it on the forums that much. Well basically. Im walking through cherno with a hatchet, Cause you know. Hatchet OP. Well there's some jackasses running around geared to the death in an all out shootout. Anyone who got in their way they killed. It was basically last man standing, I notice a guy taking cover in a building so i snuck around through the back and while we was busy shooting at someone taking cover across the street i smacked him with my hatchet. A lot. I wanted to be sure he was dead :P Picked up his AK 47 and began to open fire on the guy across the street after moving to the second floor of the building. I hear footsteps below me so i prone and cover the only entrance. Nothing happens. A minute later i hear shooting behind me i turn around this guys unloading clips into the wall trying to hit me. The window saved my life lolz. I got up and popped a couple rounds into him and began to fire at the guy across the street. By now there were to my best guess four of us left. Each one of us dug into cover, unloading clips into each other. I ended up running out of ammo and was forced to lay low with my sidearm covering the entrance when i notice the guy across the street had been killed. This left three of us alive, i decided to exit the building to see if i could get to his corpse and pick up his gun. Well by the time i got there one of the people had beaten me to it and was crouched over looting. I Guess he thought it was over. shot him in the back of the head....repeatedly...had to make sure he was dead :P This left me and one guy left alive. Having no idea where he was i decided to see if i could draw him out by running through the street, this was met with heavy gunfire. Really heavy. A saw to be exact. Didn't even know they were part of dayz, But, ok lol. I ran behind a car and was basically forced into a little hole where i entered the fetal position and awaited my death. Oddly enough it didn't come. That is until i left cover, And got sniped by some asshat with a 50cal that was apparently hanging out on the hill the entire time, watching us. what an ending.

running along beach, see saw dude spawn in front of me. run up to him, give him a wave, and start swimming in the ocean to get to a boat that was nearby. when im a good 50m in the water i hear bullets whizzing by me. the dumbas was trying to snipe me with a makarov. needless to say he missed every single shot and wasted all his ammo. so what does he do next? he starts swimming after me. i get to the boat, notice it's not repairable, and start swimming back to shore, thinking that he'll see what happened and beat me to the coast. well i gave him too much credit, he swam all the way to the boat before turning around and chasing me to shore. i had plenty of fun making target practice out of his floating defenseless body afterwards.

now that i think about it, it was probably a 12yr old or something.

Found a fellow in the field, who looked to be Healed with piss and vinegar was he full of today

but, not right in his way, was his curious sway as he gushed his red blood towards thine nay

upon his rump was mighty ol' stump made worse by the smell of decay

I poked at him once with a sound known to much, the words echoed "friendly are yee?"

With this much surprise filled his bright yellow eyes as he saw me offering my please.

At once he lunged, axe high, IQ low, towards the man with the bandage at keen.

"trying to help!" twas my cry, as my bullet pierced his eye, and his hate was no more to be seen.

I was playing on a private hive server with custom vehicles and guns, i was fully geared and was going to loot some military barracs when I noticed a parked chopper that had 2 rotors and alot of different gun positions on it, I camped out the place for about 45 minutes and then I see a whole squad of bandits run for the chopper, I killed 2 of them with my DMR but I ran out of bullets and by then I was geting shot and I was now at 6000 blood, I took cover behind a stack of bricks wich was directly across from the enemy an the chopper so I couldnt see the rest of the bandits, I had no other choice but to run for the chopper and get into one of the front gunner seats and shoot them, I ran for the chopper I got shot with a low damage weapon and started bleeding but I ran for the gunner seat and killed the rest of them I had no bandages left and tried to go loot one of their bodies to find a bandage but I passed out and thanks to all that shooting we had caught the attention of the zeds and one of them killed me

Well, this is a story about a betraying bandit who wanted someone to bloodbag him.

I agreed with him. He then asked me for a bloodbag in middle of nowhere (Stary Sobor). I told him I didn't have any. Then he asked for painkillers, so I gave some to him.

I was about to leave, when he shoots me. I take cover and shoot him in the head (MP5 for the win). Later on, while looting his body I find a bloodbag in his backpack. Probably the most stupid guy I've met.

One day I was coming up the stairs of the Balota ATC when I heard some noise, I kept calling friendly but no reaction and put my hatched in my backpack so didn't give the wrong impression. When got upstairs there was a guy with an AK. I started saying "don't shoot, I'm friendly" I knew that I was more then likely to be shot, but I wanted to give it a try because I was a fresh spawn anyway.

Not surprisingly that guy pointed his gun at my and I knew was going to be killed...again. But instead of "bang" I heard "click" :P . I drew my hatched out of my backpack and took a swing, it took two swings to get him bleeding while he was running downstairs. In the end we were running around the airstrip for 10 minutes like the Keystone cops before he bleed out and I could finish him. We must have looked like two idiots. Not proud of what I did I'm not the KOS type but somehow this guy got my pissed.

The first time I played Celle will always be a fond memory.

So im running around with a hachet and see this guy being swarmed by the motherload of zombies. I had heard enfield shots a few minutes before and saw an enfield on his back so I threw a smoke grenade to help the guy out.

He then runs out of the place that looks like the targe Mahal and spams his 1911 at me. I run around a corner and tell him he is wasting his time and just attracting attention to himself.

He runs around the corner and I axe him, but he turns and runs, both of us bleeding a fountain of blood.

We run for a few minutes and I see an unarmed player standing there watching us in the open. As I follow this noob into an office building a guy with another 1911 appears and spams clip after clip at me, the first guy stops behind him and I see the 3 of them are friends.

Enfield guy runs away and bandages I figure while this new shooter spams a good 5 clips hitting me once or twice (NO LIE!)

I run up and embed the hachet into the guy, one hit kill and see the unarmed player trying to get the 1911 off the guy I killed. but he stays back from my swings, i didnt really want to kill any of them and I was laughing the whole time over the microphone.

Next the enfield guy re appears and spams yet more bullets from his pistol at me, finnally breaking my legs I roll around until he runs out of bullets.

He then runs away while unarmed guy hangs around watching me.

I take an empty CZ from the fallen noob bandit and also his empty pistol.

The first guy returns 5mins later with some ammo in his enfield and fires 5-6 shots at blank range while ill roll around before he finnally kills me.

If I had ANY kind of gun, all 3 would have been screwed, I guess at least 15 mags were used on me in the whole fight and only around 10 shots hit me even though they spammed pistol rounds

I hope all those bullets were worth my hachet :)

Probably the bandits who spent hours sniping from the same spot in Calimar (Lingor) without expecting somebody to sneak up behind them. To be fair everybody on the server seemed to have kept coming from the same direction, and we did have three our of team distracting them.
