Are you Ready for the Bloodsucker?

Recommended Posts

Of the most recent updates for Namalsk, I think this one caught my eye the most. As if zombies weren't enough to fear, the most recent Namalsk update has introduced the Bloodsucker.

New PVE challenge - introducing 'bloodsucker' - fast, mostly invisible & deadly still a bit human-like creature (I heard, they like helicrashes and barracks, be prepared to be hunted down!)

You ready for the Bloodsucker?

I don't know if this is legit, and if it is I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, I like S.T.A.L.K.E.R quite a bit. On the other, I'm not sure if it will fit in with the rest of DayZ.

In any case, you should avoid making two identical topics about the same thing in the future.

It was an accident... I've already attempted to correct the situation.

This is retarded. How is an invisible zombie supposed to fit into a "realistic" zombie apocalypse?

I don't care how you try to spin it, stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Not sure. Maybe it will provide an actual challenge to kill, because as it is now, zombies are no more than a nuisance.

Give it a shot, before you criticize it...

This isn't official DayZ any way. Rocket isn't making Namalsk...

Namalsk is already an awesome map as it was before this update, with all the hills, snow, military buildings etc etc. Now, the bloodsucker, ....

well, fuck

I think normal Namalsk had a mutant like creature featured in its campaign. So they might be adding it to DayZ.

It's already there if you upgrade Namalsk to .72 on Commander...

That's what this thread is about...

I don't even...

But it's not DayZ. It's DayZ Namalsk. Namalsk isn't the most realistic mod.

I might say that the bloodsucker is horribly overpowered hyper speedy invicible douche who does not care about walls. And the the evr sequence is a big fuck you event. This is my first impression... I do not like.

Just experienced the EVR event. Shit was crazy. Dunno exactly what happened, but went from full health to about 4k and was passed out for a few minutes. Saw many names of people who were killed.

Have yet to run into a bloodsucker.

My clan is running this map on our server.

We've encountered both additions and they are both crazy.

The Blood Sucker appeared behind one of my clanmates and started growling.. he was freaking out in Mumble and it was hilarious!

As for the "event" it happens every hour or so, seems like a good way to keep people from just hanging out in the wilderness.. if you get into a building, you will blackout but you won't lose health. If you are in the Wilderness when it happens, you lose about 6000 blood. D:

Seems to make things a little more intense.. come join us and check it out! :)

Namalsk is a good map, but the cold effect is freakin annoying. You NEED to find warm clothes or you are going to shake every few minutes! It's not even realistic!

But the new features will bring me back to Namalsk :P

I played the namalsk campaign a bit before playing namalsk dayz. I think they're the big things with claws that 2 mags to take down. If these are gonna be added into dayz, it is gonna incredibly hard to survive lol. I hope this removes some of the constant pvp on namalsk, due to it being extremely hard to deal with those things alone.

DayZ Namalsk sounds like it's the Area 51 of DayZ.

you have a hidden military base which maybe did some secret experiments with the Infected Virus.

Then you have the Special alien no bullet drop gun.

The Blood suckers which sound like they are part of the lore of this Area 51 style location...

No, it isn't great. I was strolling away in some forest when 10 of these cocksuckers attacked me. It's an awesome addition to the Namalsk map, and it's fairly balanced as well.... Except the freakishly large amount of them. I thought they were going to be rare and scare as shit to encounter (because not your average DayZ experience uknow). I suppose they're a bit too easy to kill. I think I used half a mag per sucker with the L85. Lost 4k blood (2 hits) when attacked by 10 of them, so obviosly if they're going to be rarer they need to be more powerful.

Also the Blowout-thingie happens way too fast. 200m away from the nearest building and it's game over baby.

The one thing I don't like about Namalsk is the railgun.

They don't seem overpowered. One hit me several times but didn't quite kill me. I have only ever seen a one at a time.

As for the guy that says he found ten in the woods, I call BS.

The blood suckers only spawn near military buildings as far as I can tell.

They take about 15-20 545x39 bullets.

I like them.

Is there a warning alarm before EVR explodes? Cause it would be kinda stupid if it activates out of nowhere! No-one would know when to get to cover

Bullshit? Did you see the printscreens? You can se at least 8 of them in that one picture, the other two were nearby. I shit you not, it's legit. After meeting those 10 I met another two at some industrial area, and 3 more outside in the forest again. Then I checked out a deer stand outside Object All, and suddenly there were 4-6 of them there as well. There were about 4 players nearby, killed one, saw another one get killed by a bloodsucker and the others ran I guess. I was walking in circles to kill the remaining bloodsuckers when the EVR started, and that's when I disconnected. Supposedly lying down will help, but with all those suckers around me? No thank you. Connected back in 5 minutes later, started walking towards the Serbjan Mine when I heard the sucker growl somewhere behind me. Just kept running. Looted the mine and went on my way into the forest to check out the nearest helicrash when a dosen of those cockleechingsuckerfaggots were after me again. Of course it's difficult to tell how many if you don't kill them all, but I think they were about 5-7. Killed three before 1 hit killed me, had low blood because of previous attacks.

Seriously, play for a couple of hours and you will see I am indeed not bullshitting your ass. Fucking pathetic. TOO MANY OF THEM!

I replied before you posted the screenies. Sorry. No need to get so mad. That is strange though because I have never ran into that many after playing for 4 hours or so. I only met one, and heard another. You must have exceptionally bad luck.

As far as I can tell they only spawn by military installations.

Maybe its a server setting???
